I've killed about 3204983209432 orcs in Faydark and Crushbone. Well maybe not 3204983209432... maybe 3204983209431... but still, no ribcage.

Never ever got an emissary... actually found the ribcage off a plain old orc centurion near the slave caves- after killing that rogue gnome, about twelve slavers, and the warden about six times. Of course, the cents now con grey to me so I passed right by them out front. I was bored waiting for the warden to spawn so I thought I'd just take out the cent on the left.
He dropped the ribcage.
Everything else I'd had from hunting so I just got the pattern off Mistrunner, combined, and crafted.

I can provide you with the material recipes and patterns for Leafrunners [Caps], [Bracers], [Sleeves], [Boots], [Leggings], [Gloves] and [Tunics].' You say, 'i want to craft tunics' Aliafya Mistrunner says 'To create your tunic material you will need to combine 5 Woven Spider Silks, 1 Pristine Forest Drakeling Scale, 1 Golden Bandit Tooth, 1 Orc Ribcage and 1 Legionnaires Bracer in your assembly kit. Once you have created the proper material take it to a loom along with this mold to fashion your very own Tunic of the Leafrunner. Wow! I wish all newb armor quests were this easy, i found most of the items in about an hour, and things I couldn't kill I got help from high level chars. It took me about 2 hours to get the entire set at only lv 5. Why can't SHD's newb armor quest be this easy =(

yah combine all the items in the container u was given except the pattern. then combine the pattern and the result in a loom or sewing kit and then ya get the item
Ok really dumb question of the day. I see here (which im sure many miss) I have to take it to a loom. That in itself is confusing. so I put ALL otems in the container, combine... and then put it in a loom?

so the mold and the created material? right? the combined material (with pattern) AND the mold he gives me? Its a little confusing because Tailoring and looms (i think) use patterns. and he gives patterns for the combine items. and normally forges use molds. so its confusing. is all.

The quest is most definately NOT broken. Also, the Golden Bandit Tooth dropped from the bandits in GFay on the fourth kill tonight. Cleared the camp once and the first pop after dropped it. No need to go to BB, just a little patience.

Quest is not broken, did tunic, gloves, leggings, and scimitar all last night in one hour, would also like to point out that golden bandit teeth do NOT drop off the bandits at the camp in Gfay. which means you have to go to BB (Pegleg camp yielded 2 per clearing) Anyways, Safe Travels and may tunare blees you

Yes Golden Bandit tooths' (I know it is teeth) do drop from the bandits in GFay, I got 2 after clearing the camp 3 times at 10th level.

Just how rare are these Rib Cages supposed to be? Had my baby druid killing Orcs for a few evenings now and not one drop. Super rare drops on newbie quests is a major downer. :(
I've only seen ribcages drop off centurions in slaver pit, and they're uncommon to rare drop

OMG!!! did the druids get burnt again this time? i think they did.
Wasted 12 hr on this quest today just to see if the reward out ranked the cost and yet again, just like the druid twlight armor, it did by about 3/10. Yea sure the quest was pritty fun this time, onlike geting all the gems and marks and other things for the TL armor, but come on.. For the newbi warr weapon they get +3 str, we get about the same stats as a rusty sword.. for the prest plate i think they get +5 str and some stama... we get 5sta and 2wis.. only one stat we really need..
If your into long quests for kicks, then give it a shoot, it looks pritty nice and is something that will make you better then the lazy guy next to you, but if you just want the stats, then safe up 30pp and buy a Formens Tunic in the bazaar.

where are the bandits that drop these?

Bandits in both GFay and Butcherblock drop these. They are stackable and are not no drop. They seem to drop 1 out of every 4 kills.

in g'fay you can get woven spider silk off of widow hatchling's also
To make this simple, depending on your zone, woven spider silks are common off giant spiders in Antonica and also large spiders, and also large widows in Faydwer.

dont for get to say "i am ready to complete the test of loyalty" to Aliafya Mistrunner for the final quest..she wants detailed battle plans and 2 pair of crushbone battle beeds..i havent finished yet so i dont know the rewrd, but if its anything like the rest it wont be worth it except the fun of duing a new quest...
quest isnt that good. save up for a velium morningstar or something. this isnt worth the work, in my opinion
Those scales are very hard to get...at least right now. Everyone is running around killing these things on the off chance the scales might drop. 3/5 of the time the drop nothing and when they do have loot it is usually Ruined Forest Drake Scales or just regular Forest Drake Scales. Newbies are having problems because the 30+ Druids runnin' around with tracking are beating them to the kill. At least this is what I experienced on Prexus.
Thats happening on all the servers. even im guilty of switching to my 30 druid to find one for my lowbie ench, though i ended up getting one for free from a nice person. then a day later when i killed a drakeling for fun and got a pristine, i gave to someone who needed it. My druid has killed over 150 drakelings and i only got 1 pristine. I'm glad there are still ppl playing who dont take advantage of the need for scales.
