Wisps require magic weapons to be hit. Wisps are non-aggressive, however they are extremely sociable.

The three variants of lightstones that they carry are excellent lightsources for humans and the other blind races.

I have 3 words "player versus player" server. I have a rogue, these new effects would be awesome PVP ... I think what he means (below) is the effect for blind is Area-Effect. I am also assuming these are DIFFERENT (only jagged pine) wisps that drop these with effects. A good example is the druids Sun blind, it hits an area. Never thought about it but you could de-rail a quad or a train. With most blinds, if you back up, the mob then acts like it cant see you. Otherwise it will wail on you regardless.

GLS Quest in NK

Don't forget that you can take your GLS's to one of the gypsies in NK and get a book from her that she will buy back for between 8-11pp depending on Charisma. Check quest list for NK for more info. At a guarenteed 8pp + 1-4pp + occasional loot these are one of the best things to hunt around 39 for druid....just watch out for the blind spells and they are social so if another passes by it will aggro on you.

I've also had 2 flawless aquamarines drop in the last couple hours.

Willowisps blinding
# Jan 25 2003 at 3:51 AM Rating: Decent
I've kited these willowisps very effectively with the conventional snare/nuke method and it seems to me that they dont actually cast a blind spell but it's a melee proc of theirs. The greater lightstones yield approx 4 plat and they drop them every time. They also seem to have very little health. Hope this helps anyone worried that they will be blinded while trying to kite these guys.

Yea, so i was like, hey look at this willowisp. He cons yellow to me, must be some sort of mix up...and all of a sudden my screen turns black...i think there is something wrong because...after all willowisps cant cast spells right? WRONG!!! these mofos can, and they are basically hill giants packed into a little ball the size of a marble. Im gonna wait a little while before i decide to take one on. By the way... i was at lvl 36...Warrior

The wisp in Jaggedpine hits harder then the average west common type. Around 75 to 80 dam.

Also they cast some spell that blinded for a while.

Killed it with nukes (one calefaction and three firestrikes) and counted around 1200hp, but i could be wrong.

Just so you know.

Greater Flashstone
# Aug 06 2002 at 12:13 PM Rating: Good
Wisps in Jaggedpine drop greater lightstone (GLS) every time, except for the occasional variant. For example, I got a greater flashstone once. It had 1 charge and gave a bright flash when clicked on. But don't stand right next to a NPC when testing it as I did because it can damage them for a few hps (3 for me) just enough to wear out your welcome...in a flash, lol.

Flash of Light is a low level blindness spell. I would expect this to be targeted just like the cleric/paladin spell of the same name. So yes you can use it near NPC's. Just dont target them.

Flash of Light as some AE. Try it in the North Freeport bank on a friend sometime, and see how many guards beat on you!

I've noticed sometimes that when I use a clickable item, the click can 'bleed through' and target a nearby PC or NPC. Maybe that's what happened to him.
