Ghowlik is the one named spawn (that I've seen) in the sonic wolf cave in Hollowshade Moor. A sonic packleader is his ph. He spawns on the right side of the cave between two rocks. So far his known loot is the Elder Wolf Hide (shoulder item) and the Elder Wolf Jawbone (a nifty sword).
Ph and named are on a 16 minute timer.. and I can't really confirm it.. it could just be coincidence but I think he might be "anti camp". When I first arrived he was up, I killed him and he dropped the sword. So I then called up a pet and cleared the cave. I then got 6 Packleaders in a row. So I thought to myself it might be anti camp and I ran off to the Grimling camp and killed the chief. Upon returning I stayed outside the cave and killed the guardians out front. Sure enough when I went back in he spawned and dropped the shoulder item. I waited again outside and he spawned again and dropped the sword which I let a friend loot since it's lore.
So like I said it's either a crazy coincidence that he spawned twice while I was out of the cave.. but who knows how that crazy VI works. ;)
Hope this info is helpful.. and that shoulder item is pretty nice for any caster.
Nice info Xeno might be anti-camp spawn but I've camped on center rock with an Earth pet(hey he's screams solo with me)cleared cave 4 times and only PH. The I leave my pet with orders to KOS anything the breathes and go in search of the elusive Sacrifical Hammer the chief has. Few Minutes later I get then Taunting message. Run back & see named dead so I loot(COMMON Drop Elder Wolf Jawbone)Note Icon says sword Graphics on a barbarian Velium Axe on Elves a Jawbone Hatchet. So I leave pet and got looking for chieftan(BTW empty zone 75% of the time so I don't feel bad Farming Wolves with pet). 10 spawns of named and only 1 shoulder. Anti-spawn may only be on players, it does seem to activate if a pet is the farmer. BTW I got my hammer +2 str -15 Cha ALL ALL Ritual Sacrifice hehe a Beserking mage with DS and a 1hb weapon with decent damage.
He doesn't have to prove it, since it's already been proven time and time again by other players over the 3 year history of Everquest that anti-camp code does not exist. For every situation where someone has claimed "anti-camp code", several other people have gotten the mob to spawn sitting right at the mobs spawn point. Verant has also stated on several occasions that there is no such thing as anti-camp code.
Anti-camp code is nothing more than an EQ Urban Legand.
