Tried it buffless with a 49 necro. After the initial HT and a couple quick rounds the results were not good. Took it down with HT, level 50 SK, level 47 SK, level 50 monk, level 49 Mage. This thing hits pretty fast, has a very large agro radius and summons. I was able to tap tank it, but if the fight had gone on any longer i was going to run out of HP.
Easily Solo'd by 56 DPoC Aug'd. Fight took 1 min 30 secs tops. Max hit on pet was 175. I'd have to say he has round abouts 11k hps. I took HT with Mage and Resisted. Easy by todays means. Mage is mostly Don Equiped. Hopes it Helps.
At a high enough level (usually 65) this mob is easily soloed. I ran him down easily within 2 mins with my 65 nec. As stated before: he swings between 80-190 and doubles at times. This is nothing compared to today's standards. I tanked him easily and my pet didn't take any damage at all.
Did this today and he went down in about 3 mins. We had a full grp of people. All in grp were 62 ranger, 60 pally, 65 necro, 52 shadow knight (me), 52 beastlord, 50 druid. He coned yellow to me, not sure about anyone else. At fisrt I was worried because we didnt have a cleric but I had a friend on standby incase things went wrong. Honestly as long as you have alot of DPS he cant really do alot and he is a cake walk. Gratz to all of us and thanks for the info all. Special thanks to Nin, Ari, Jugz, Mand and Drew, yall kicked his butt with me and he didnt know what hit him. :) Kaelilea
i had a group of 5 with me, guess we werent powerful enough. Well I died and didnt get to the corpse in time. 3k bye bye, all the things I camped for bye bye. All gone. One advice I can give you is to have a person that can REZ in your group. That case if you DO die, they can erz you right away if the zombie is slained so you can retrieve the corpse. It rots in a fast 5 minutes.
You know whats even better?? the spell is NOT no drop -- if any of your groupies was still alive and the zombie was dead they could have looted and did the turn in for you. Thats gotta hurt 8P
i am also posting mere minutes after killing the zombie, and getting the spell. He wasn't much of a challenge for our group. He hit for about 170ish. I had: 52 Sk (me), 49 Sk, 57 sham, 57 war, 55 druid. The druid took the HT right off, and bought it before anyone could react. the rest of us (2 sks, war and sham) smacked him down. Shammy slowed with no trouble, as posted by others, he never resisted anything. Never cast any spells other than the HT. He's not 55, because his corpse decayed in 8 min or whatever, not 30. Never hit me, got the war down 1/2 a bubble of life, got the other sk down to half. Shammy only healed like three times, overall we really smoked him, really wasn't that hard.
Well I finally got my Life Leech spell tonight with 1 group. Here is what I found out. 1) He is a Skelly not a Zombie( go figure) . 2) He never cast spell one. 3) He pops right on top of you when you hand in last part. 4) Yeah HT is bad 800+...our druid took the hit. 5) After the HT we kinda just laughed at it. 6) He dropped the heart, a earring and a fire emerald for me. 7) My group was me the lowest at 53 and the highest a 60 Warlord. 8) Skelly with personel problems did'nt do much but just stand there and die. 9) If he resisted no-one said. I at lvl 53 hit him with all I had..nothing was resisted. 10) Did'nt even use HT on him. But to end this spell is very nice to have..sorta like a heal spell during battle.
Hi there. After just helping kill this guy about 30 minutes ago, I thought I would come here and share my knowledge with those who need it...since nobody else seems to want to share...
This mob is the final step in the quest for the SK quest spell Life Leech. Go look up the details here on Allakhazam's site if you want to know about it. He is a triggered spawn, so you don't need to worry about running into him in the middle of the night. Save those worries for all the other mean wandering 50+ things in this zone, heh.
My Sk friend and I had a group consisting of me (52 paladin), him (51 SK), 51 WIZ, 46 CLR, 49 Beastlord, and a 38 SK who tagged along from his guild. That made for one VERY ROUGH fight. We pulled it off, but not by much. I would recommend bringing a full group of 50+ friends (and a 50+ cleric) if you want to play it safe. We nearly bought it a couple times, but thanks goes to Cariann for getting those CH out just in the nick of time. /g
The monstrous zombie is yellow to 52 (so either 53 or 54), has approximately 10,000-11,000 HP, is either immune or extremely highly resistant to fear, and is an undead mob. He is a shadowknight (so he has a rough opening Harm Touch, close to 800 dmg), and he was hitting in the range of 90-173. (This may have had to do with the fact that he spawned with a fine steel spear. I can neither confirm nor deny whether he always spawns with a weapon or not, but I'm going to wager that we got really unlucky..) He also began casting fear when the fight was nearing the end, but thanks to the really chaotic battle, I couldn't tell if that was from some sort of proc or whether the zombie was actually casting it. Oh, and take note: this guy CAN summon.
He did not resist any of the wizard's spells. he did not resist any of my Instrument of Nife procs. He did partially resist Dismiss Undead three of the four times I cast it. As I said above, he is either completely immune or extraordinarily resistant to fear spells, so don't plan on kiting this guy. He did murder the SK doing the quest almost immediately (thanks to the Harm Touch, and the fact that none of us expected this guy to come out swinging for 170 a pop), and he did completely tear me (the main tank) up, forcing the wizard to mana burn (not the AA skill, the term for constantly nuking until OOM), the cleric to Complete Heal me three times and me to use my Lay Hands.
At any rate, we beat the zombie, we rezzed Airamos (our friend the 51 SK who we were helping), and he got his quest spell. Thanks goes to Cariann the cleric, Graithos the beastlord, Greyduke the wizard, and Zillah the level 38 Sk.
