took 18 hours of clearing the whole camp til he finally showed up... he popped between the 2 rocks where the 1 sun rev pops, sorta near the aliens, never did see 1 sunlord either... I dont think ill ever return to that camp again, had over 10 sun chalice rot, few smiter girdles rot.. ah well got my shield now finally :) goodluck with the camp!

This guys spwan rate absolutly sucks, I was there for 6 hours, and a guildmate took over the camp and was there for another 12 and still nothing, kinda reminds me of the Bilge Farfathom out in DC. If it weren't for such an awsome sheild I'd just give up on it.

It does indeed suck. Spent at least a min of 4 hours of killing ph to get him to pop. We were only mid to late 30's when we camped this so it was also hard level wise. This guys has nasty nukes, resisted the shammy slows, and hit hard(at the time. Have hige curse resists or make sure cleric has remove curse spell handy(go kill the mushroom thingy in echo caverns). We bit off more than we could chew by camping this when we were that low, but you shouldn't have problems if you are near 50 at all. just a long spawn time. Like epic mob spawn times =\

That's why the spawn rate is so slow. If the spawn rate was more people would be in here ******** about how there were so many of these shields that the price was too low in ebayCommons.

The medal that you get from him is a quest item for that really nice sheild.. anyone know where this quest begins??? The mama jama nukes in the 500- 600 hundred range with magic based spells doesnt really hit that hard melee but he does gate so watch out.

I am camping him now, but I haven't had the pleasure of receiving his nukes. Sounds like might be to hard to solo (57 Druid) if he has a 500-600 nuke. I buffed up and put on a little resist gear, hopefully this helps. Going in with P125 M105 F103.

The quest for the shield starts in Katta Castle. Look at the quest list for there and you will see the shield quest. BTW, its a multi-part quest.

Up on top of the plateau you will notice a set of ruins filled with sun revenants. There is a set of rocks between these ruins and the red alien camp. There will be one revenant standing all by itself beside these rocks. That is your PH, and it spawns every 32 minutes.

Doesn't drop the shield. He drops a quest piece for the long quest that rewards the shield. And it's 25 ac 20 wis (still awesome).
