Having recently re-read Greek (and other) Mythology, I can safely say that Gorgons are snake-headed women (cursed by a goddess... may be Athene...), 2 of which were immortal. They were Medusa's sisters... she got the short straw =\ This is a Harpy model with snake 'hair'.
Vermi gear has never been BST wearable...if you're referring to what Allakhazam had up on the sites when Luclin first came ou, it was because to make things easier, everything that had a DRU tag on it got a BST tag since the two can wear most of each other's armor. Planar gear tends to be class specific however, and BST have their own set of armor from the planes.
Ok the site is wrong, BST cant use ES or Vermi, BSTs get their own stuff. In kunark we get Wild Lord's Armor(not that great and some parts dont ahve effects) and in Fear off of a new mob(as of the 8th they are up there), Decript Warders (or something to that effect) are funky colored crocodiles that drop bst armor, check out the safehouse :)
Btw if you look at ES armor a BST can use it also they can use Verm armor there for I am suspecting Bst lords are 3/5 monk 1/5 druid 1/5 shaman but they may just be able to use this armor but think a BST casting snare, chlorhoplast, ect. 25th warrior 14th druid or it was this way last time i looked.
ok.. why do Beastlords get the same planar armor as druids? Don't most classes have their own individual armor to get in the planes (seriously.. I don't know the answer to this)?
Better question.. Can Verant just let Beastlords have the Verm armor and then they can create a 'decent' Druid armor drop for Fear?
This comes from a 53 Druid with at Vermiculated Tunic. Hate armor is waaay better.
I was just wondering Ive gone there a couple of times on raids but There always seems to be alot of people going after the loot ie 6 druids last time i went. Is it possible for a 52 druid to solo these things or even take a small group of 6 to go in here and fight these things, or is it suicide.

well i have a big freaking pof raid tomorrow and i doubt i will get any of this wonderful gear but im keeping my fingers toes and eyes crossed for some!
This thing is not a gorgon . its more like a mix of a medusa and a Harpy a gorgon is a big Bull made of obsidian. ho well guess they could not make a big black bull that would have rocked. but hey their call to bad they made the wrong one hehe.
Where did you get that? A Gorgon is a creature from Greek Mythology. One of three sisters with wings on their body, and snakes for hair. Medusa was, in fact, one of the three gorgons (the mortal one). This creature is indeed exactly what a gorgon is.
i think he was thinking about annother game (namely heros of might and magic 3 i think it is) that has a lizardman race with gorgons, they are big bulls the breath poisen. because of that game i was expecting a big black bull also, but i guess greek mythology was around first eh? =)

Use Bards to pull these, with an enchanters Magic resist buff stacked with bards magic resist song, usually that will give you around 150 or so in save versus magic, untouchable!
This is one of the few mobs druids can pull well with Harmony, their Agro range isn't *that* big. So when pulling the nest Harmony away! You can normally whittle it down to two.

After the last few runs in pof, there has been several druid drops from these mobs... quite rare for that to happen. The mobs are messable and can be taken down with ease.
Korelin Dorlomin Level 50 Warrior of Halas Cazic Thule - Shadowed Souls
Carefull when pulling this *******, she gives a nice 20 second or so stone stun that will stop you and usually kill you if you are alone. Other than that, the mob is a fairly easily kill in normal combat.
Gorgons I believe drop the druid only Vermiculated armor. My guild leader has been on many POF invasions and so far only has the crown, good luck druids :)
yup, they drop vermiculated armor. very nice. i have 2 braces, which add a $^@*load of wis compared to other bracers. good stuff for druids. i also have boots and arms, neither of which add any wis, but the arms are better than elder spiritist arms, and i've never had es boots. good luck all
whoops, ment braceRs another thing i wanna point out for anyone who hasn't noticed is the background. yes! giant willowisp enchanters w/ pets and whatchamacallits from unrest in the Plane of Fear!!! =) super-greater lightstones anyone? mwahahahahahaha
ps. yes, i'm just joking, they don't really drop super-greater lightstones which don't even exist
My friend on Bertoxx has all vermiculated armor and he is only level 50. He is not in an uber guild either. He once got 2 rubicite BPs in one night....hes pretty damn lucky. my 2cp
es boots blow.. they are like ac 4 or something stupide like that with no stat bonus's .. effect : right clickable lev.. but the weak thing is that it takes longer to cast ! LOL.. wtg verant .. screwed us over once again =\
ES boots may have terrible stats and take awhile to cast. How many times have you needed lev *in combat?* Then sheddap about the cast time... point is that they mean you never have to carry bat wings around anymore.
a) Take off your good boots. b) Put on ES boots. c) Lev your party for free. d) Put on good boots again.
Purty simple, and now you're running across the Dreadlands light as air. And no more bat wings to clutter your inventory or to buy from Gfay newbies.

Actually, I ML'd a pair of those ES boots in Howling Stones about three weeks ago. I was outta bat wings, so I tried clickin' em. Told me I needed the component. ;p
hehe these will go great with those wonderful right click and i go to misty thicket pants! I swear if i see someone wearing these pants and those boots i'll train em. uber-noob
about the ES boots is it still true ya need the batwings to cast cause with the longer cast delay no real purpose the mana for a lev is so small it doesnt show up anymore . the only reason to get those is if ya dont need bat wings which while easy as heck to get takes up inventory room
Dea Santa all I want for Christmas is a Vermiculated tunic and bracers. Please I'm not asking for much, only that you kill 50 mobs that hit like a ***** and drop stuff that is ultra rare.
