Anyone know what causes this guy to spawn or it it just random? Would like to know so if we were causing his spawn by killing something there we WILL stop. Got one in our group 3 times in one 2 hour time span :-(

ok using my 523 dd it took 2 hits to nuke him he resisted lvl 47 spell once as well
he has about 800 hp and I think the capability to heal slightly
drops encrypted note that doesnt seem to be useful yet and
fine steel great staff
as well as some lowbie items like cloth choker
spawn point is by a grove of trees near the mino caves and he is not attacked by teh guards for some reason
the encrypted note says when identified that it is
something to do with the guy rolfus? zek same guy that is named in warrens
my idea is that maybe the kobold in akanon has soemthing to do with him im gonna question him soon

ENOUGH!! We all know he's lvl 25 by now. And we all know he's killed a lot of low lvls. How many times do we have to hear it? =) Why won't someone talk about this mysterious scroll he has? If anyone knows, please post!

I think his spawn point somewhere around 849, -1434, -122. He's very close to the Mino Caves. I watched him spawn there and took him out pretty easily with my lvl 27 Mage. Only used bubs of mana and my pet was knocked down about 20% of health (to 80%).

Ok, first of all they throw out the Mino hero who seems to get me every time he's not camped (and oddly enough, several times that he HAS been camped he's snuck out and found me). I have two Gnome characters, both of whom have had a very rough time getting from level 6 to level 10 or so (there's a big jump in moster levels...at 6 or 7, they all con either very low green or very high yellah), NOW they throw yet another factor designed to keep Gnome Newbies in check. I see a mass exodus of Gnomes to GFay (ever notice there are no high level NPC's running around killing elvish newbies?). Most zones (unless they're Elvish) have one high level nasty with one purpose, to kill the youngsters. Why does Steamfont get two?

Beacuse it seems most GM's are Woodelves, Thats also why theres wandering guards and thet real high level druid girl running round the forest NW of the Orc lift. These extra layers of protection make sure that noone camps the Orc lift guards, Unlike EC/WC, Ackkanon where gusrds are often camped. The infestation of woodelves must be stopped, Letting the Orcs have their way with the young would be a grand solution .

I agree that he is lvl 25 with him being a caster. I took him on the other night without thinking with my level 28 wiz and he resisted all my first 3 roots resulting in an up close an personal fight. i won but with only one bubble of mana and health left. Met him again about 15 min later and went in with a plan. Took him out fairly easily. half health, 3/4 mana. He may be related to a pally quest for i let a lower level pally loot him for the doctrine and lets just say she was very happy. By the way he hits for up to 60 damage, trust me.

I was in the process of doing the quest for Bullsmasher with my lvl 9 cleric, and I saw the kobold missionairy killing another person that conned red to me. All the other kobolds are indifferent to me, and I figured he would be too, but he scowled at me ready to attack and killed me quite quickly! I tried running to Forpar Fizla, who is some gnome in the windmills that always runs out and kills anything that i'm trying to kill. However, Forpar Fizla didn't feel like "helping" me this time, and just stood there watching!! some aspects of this game can be so random!!

We had four Dwarfs in our group - a Pally, Warrior and two Clerics levels ranging from 11 - 14. The Kolbold Missionary came from nowhere, he resisted our root spells and basicly took us out one by one. He is a very bad Monster, avoid unless you have numbers and are/or are above level 25. He roams steamfont mnts and will attack on sight.

im guessing more like 29-30. Blue to me at 31 and blue to a friend of mine at 33. He had been on a tear for awile I decided to try him.. put up all my endure spells and snared and dotted him. He must have been oom from all the killing he had done lately he only casted 3 spells at me, first dispelled me then tried a shaman dot (dont remember which one) that I resisted. When he was about 25% health he hit me with frost spirit which didnt really hurt at all.. soon after he was dead.
Looted a FS warhammer and the same Encrypted document.. Tommorow Im going to erudin and see if I can find anyone offering a quest for it

No, 25 is right. I solo'd him at 25, and it was really close...but he ran at just the right time (must have been OOM at that point)...I didn't have to LOH...he conned black, and was hitting for 40s and 50s...good thing I had my MotQ. ;)
