Doing hunter achievement, here is the best way to find him.

Pull/kill all of the Shadow Guardians around Tower of Frozen Shadow and AE them at once if possible. There are ~30 of them. Respawn / repop / spawn time for PH is ~6 mins 30 seconds.

Only took one cycle to get him to spawn. Don't bother with Snow Dervishes on the first island if you're going specifically for this guy.

I've killed this mob several times in Iceclad. It's blue to a Lvl 40 druid and magic/fire based spells seem to land with few resists. So far I've looted 2 Iceballs (sold one to someone needing it for brewing) , 1 Torque of Hoar Frost, and a Frosted Gem -5str +3 Int +30 mana secondary/range slot. It has more hps then the shadow guardians and has an, I believe, Cold based "proc" which normally lands around the 30's, but I believe I've been hit with it b4 while sitting and took a Max hit of 85ish. This Mob seems to be on the spawn table around ToFS, as well as the Isle with the Dire wolves which has the Bridge to EW. I've seen it more commoly on the ToFS Isle though. More then likely because this Isle is hunted more often on my server for the Cougars. Oh... Torque of Hoar frost is 1Ac 10 hp/mana and 10 vs cold I belive. That's all the info I have for now =).

Ice ball is used for Velious brewing. You need to make Tainted Avalanche Ale to complete 9th Coldain ring . Rumorered Trivial around 248. Ingredients : Bottle , An Iceball , an Ice Wyvren Stinger , Arctic Mussels , Seahoarse Scales , a Runed Seashell (cloud) and a vial of mind melt ... Good luck

these seem to ALWAYS drop one of any item the normal Dervs drops. :)

This dropped a Ring of Frost, +3 INT +10 mana

Well personally I've never seen this guy on track even running through Iceclad numerous times, but what I can tell you is that the frozen mantle, iceball and chill dagger are all possible drops off of snow dervishes. So are the torque of hoar frost and ring of frost. The frosted gem as far as I know IS the rare drop off this guy, as I haven't heard of them dropping off dervishes. The druid who posted here obviously doesn't know much about the value of items in this game, a 3 INT 30 MANA range slot IS a great drop, superior to the dustscryer's ball, shardwurm eye and student's homework (unless you need the MR from the homework). I play a wizard and would love to have one in my range slot.

I just got through with this guy and i think he is a wizard cause he used wizard spells on me. I am a Lvl 37 druid (Keebo Sabi) on Prexus. He dropped a Frosted Gem.
