Seen a SK solo it once. Pull Lodi to the gnoll camp, and let the gnolls rape him. Lodi will win the fight against the gnolls, but only with about 15% hps left. SK stands up, HT, melee a bit, lifetap a bit, and Lodi is running. And no the corpse doesn't poof when he dies because the NPC's that were attacking are dead, which cancels that. Was fun to watch.

A 60 SK can easily have 1300+ac and 3.5k+ hp if he's well geared (and thats modest, if he's in a first tier guild, he can do ALOT better). You could then factor in buffs from potions and clickable items like tri-plated golden hackle hammer to make a pretty mad character. Between debuffs, dots, and a good 2hander, I would think a solo SK could do at least 15%.
Lodi can be slowed and a SK could do just that using a wavecrasher-20% (not that uncommon for SK/pallies to have) or willsapper-30% (never seen one on a pally/sk but could happen). That SK could also have hastened himself with an eyepatch of plunder.
Add to all that a pet (doesn't do much but makes a bit of an impact), unholy arua or leechcurse, and harmtouch and you have a managable mob. I've seen him soloed by a 60shammy (from 100% health). I'd say it's very possible that a SK could get him from 15% (though I cannot verify that he was).

Gonna take a crack at Lodi with, 57 pally, 58 ranger, 57 cleric, 54 monk (epic), 60 mage. Was thinking of some strategies we could use, maybe stack DS's for a 60+ damage sheild? Or maybe have the pally cast blind on him and run around while others hit him in the back. Well was wondering if you think we could take him with this group? Any info + strategies would be greatly appreciated.

Killed him recently with 60rng x2, 60wiz, 53clr and 57clr. Wasn't terribly tough. He hit or no more than 300 as I recall. Fight took roughly 5mins. 53clr at 1m and 57clr at 3m at end of fight. Rng held aggro easily and wizzy nuked freely, he did mention all magic based nukes were resisted so he did cold based and landed them easily, they were lures though.

It wont be hard whit ur group. The paly MUST have and keep the aggro. The ranger, the monk and the mage will deal some serious dmg while lodiz is focused on the paly. If needed, ask to your paly to chain stun lodiz at 60% HP to keep the aggro, i've already seen him switching his target even if the tank was spaming his taunt.
The lodiz magic resist is REALLY high but i've already DoTed him whit the druid epic so don't be afraid to chain slow(not in ur case)/stun/etc...

It seems that Lodizal is not on the 18+2 timer anymore but on a 23h fixed timer.

Can anyone tell me how to spawn him? or does he spawn on his own? I am still a bit unclear as to where to look for him. I would like to arrange for my guild to take him, but need more info. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thank you.

never seen anyone solo him but have seen a 60 shaman and a 60 monk duo him on lanys... was fun to watch

You can't solo Lodi because he summons. You can kite him around all day long, but as soon as you do 5-10% damage on him, he will start summoning you over and over. By the time you get out of melee range, he would have already done 500+ damage and then he just summons you again. Can be done with 2-3 people (with the right types of classes).

A shaman can easily solo it, just pray the slow lands quickly, then it's piece of cake. Must have torpor anyway, and just DoT Epic, have pet kick his ***, and chain torpor yourself ;)

Yes Valcane 1 55+ group with 60 tanking will be no prob. Did him today with the same thing(60SK tanking) Dropped 2 shells, belt, ring and the 4th part of the map. Spawns on the same island as the tower.

I wanted to know for 1 if the eye patch was really worth it. Friends in guild said it stacked with other hastes includeing celestial fists.
And would it be possible to take him out with 1 group of lvl 55+ we got an uber ikky lady whos a war shes lvl 60.

so yea i can get roughly 1195 ac self buffed on my 60 shaman if i took him with my shaman my 53 monk that has a Tstaff and roughly 1100ac buffed could i finish him off np or think he would own me, also if anyone had exact HP on this guy i would love to know i know i can solo Gantru Drahkenl in umbral who has what felt like 40k hp give or take i would assume lodi to have close to that if not less =\......=)

a mages epic pet can not solo lodzi. i watched lodzi go down 4 times and only by melee classes with healer (dru, clr, shm ) and a slower. Lodzi is not soloable. even chain kiting him with pets wont work.
A shammy can solo lodi. Whip out a pet for offense, slow him, epic dot, melee/canni/torpor throughout the fight, re-slow as needed. Towards the end of the fight, chain cast w/JBB till dead.

The only class i can see truely soloing lodizal would be a shaman:

buffs himself with agi; ac buff; talisman; sta; regen; ( and maybe there is a friendly chanter near with a kei or c2 lol :) ) and haste!
has horse
pulls lodizal with malo; and slows
dots him with bane/pox/envenomed/epic; or jbb also if u got it
dispel horse
hit rabid bear and melee for a bit( 6mins ; refresh dots
torpor when necessary ( never go below half health w/o torpor )
get vindi stuff ac is vital for battle

It might be real tough. I doubt a 60 shaman with all that could lay a spell on Lodi. I have had many friends in high end guilds across Bristlebane tell me Lodi has the highest MR they have ever seen. nothing stuck on him for more then 10 secs they said. I can't verify it but sounds like it would be near impossible to solo with any class no matter what buffs or spells.

Ok, I have been camping him since the server came up on E'ci. The first spawn was found. His next spawn was exactly 20hrs later, and then his next spawn was exactly 23hrs after that. So the 18hr with 2hr window does not seem to be accurate. Anyone know if they changed him to a different timer?

Been timing spawns, was there yesterday morning, he skipped spawn .. should of popped about 4 am then, was there then, skipped spawn. Skipped 2 spawns in a row, so to answer your question .. No :p

killed him last nite, hes not that tough. hits for max 270 but has a berzerker attack when under 10 hps that is nuts. if you have a 60 war tanking and using defensive you should be fine. we had about 9 peops all upper 50s and took 3 cheals on the war.

While adventuring in iceclad with a full group of 30-40's we were running along the side of the island on our way to camp some giants. I being a dense paladin with extremely bad luck happened to come across a odd turtle named Lodizal. I stood right in front of him and he conned green to me, the lowest member of the group at 32. Of course we stuck our necks out,realized after being beaten for a while, although rather lightly, that his health was not going down more than a sliver :( After that, we promptly ran but I am rather confused that 1. he didn't agro 2. he conned green at 32 and 3. it was a while ago and I might be wrong but I think I would have remembered him hitting over 100 which I don't

Lodizal is on an 18 hour spawn time with a 2 hour time frame which he, stormfeather, and garou can spawn during more than 1 can spawn during that 2 hour frame and you can also have none of the 3 spawn, the only random thing about it is when during the 2 hour frame any of the 3 will spawn if they do.

Is Malo a requirement to slow him? Or have any 59 or under Shaman gotten him slowed with Malosini then slow?
I don't think you can let the named gnolls knock him down to 50% before attacking now. I was passing through and saw 4 new named gnolls in one of the huts. They were all red to my 51 druid.
