killed him with me (65 war), 65 mage, and 64 druid and 56 ranger last night. Hits for less than 300, spawns right outside the gnoll camp on the 2nd iceberg from the shoreline.

piece o cake. sometimes my friend (65 mage) will solo him if no one is around to help.

He is immune to changes in speed. So, no... he can be neither snared nor rooted. He IS slowable though and he usually runs at about 20% if that helps.

#REDACTED, Posted: Jan 14 2004 at 10:08 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) For those using pets - Is it really soloing? Or are you in fact duoing a mob?
RE: Just curious
# Feb 16 2004 at 9:08 PM Rating: Decent
Soloing = not needing the assistance of another Player. You earned those pet spells, you leveled, you bought them. They're yours. You cast them. However, if you've got a friend there helping you, it does become duoing. Because you didn't level him, you didn't buy his equipment, and, not to mention, he's a seperate character that can make his own decisions and is not dictated by binary.

So I would consider using a pet as soloing.
62 shaman solo?
# Jan 01 2004 at 4:31 PM Rating: Default
Hey ,

If anyone reads this could you pls leave me a post about a great place for tactics, or right way to do this fight as a 60+ shaman.

I currently own a 62 shaman and am dying to try this. Don't send me to the link about malo, torpor either. I have Malo - Torpor - and 75%slow that will land, but who do I battle tank him when he's got 50-60k hp. Any suggestions would be great as I can go PPPown him.

Thank all -- no flames ok, I've killed alot of things but never yet soloed at lvl60 mob.

Peace all eye straining eq players.

Lodi has like 32khps, nowhere near 50k

Just summon pet, slow it, send pet, tank it healing you with Torpor/mini CH and DoT the crap out of it

Lodi spawns on an ice floe just down from the Tower of Frozen Shadow. There is one with a bunch of Snowfang Hunters killing walruses. He spawns right in that vicinity.

Anybody that can Dire Charm can solo Lodi by DCing Corudoth (who has a ton of HP) and using Corudoth to melee while you nuke, DoT, etc.

And he spawns every 10 hours, +/- 2 hours, unless he skips, which he does a lot less frequently than that nasty bird, Stormfeather.

Lodi Duo
# Nov 25 2003 at 11:01 PM Rating: Default
Last night my husband and I duo'd lodi. He is a 65 warrior with 35 aa and I am a 65 cleric with 39 aa. We had no slow on him, was hitting warrior for around 100-300 (300 being max) and he did not use any discs. It took me all of 3 cheals during the fight. It did take about 5 min to get him down though, lots of HP's.

Hope this helps!

Is Lodizal up as soon as server resets?

I was just curious if he was up as soon as servers came up after a patch, or do I have to wait 12 hours.

Also, I have seen a few different posts giving different spawn cycles. Can anyone give me a CONFIRMED spawn cycle. Is it 8 1/2 hours? Is it 12 hours? Is it 10 hours? What is the spawn cycle?

I don't believe he is. I've tried to log on immediately after server reset (being bound in Iceclad) and I've never seen him up until hours later.
Sorry.. guess the URL feature doesn't work try:

Okay, this story is so insane I had to post it here. I have been camping Stormfeather for 2 days now with no luck. While I have been here there are 2 groups of people who have been farming Lodizal, sucked for me that I was sitting with my balls in the snow and nothing to kill. Well today when they came to kill him I wandered over to say howdy do and ran off to see what was up on the EW side of the zone. While I was on the far side of the zone group 1 wipes. So I go over to the turtle and stare at him for a bit, pondering the possibility of takin him out with whoever I can scourge together. /who all guild Me (64SK) and a 53 Drood, hmmmmm, good luck with that, but what the hell. I sent the drood a tell to come join me in IC. While waiting for him to arrive group 2 shows up. A high 50's to low 60's (blue con to 64) Drood and his 65 Warrior friend show up and start bashing away on Lodi. I asked if they were ok and the Druid says, "prolly not, I forgot I don't have KEI." An evil plan begins to hatch in my head, let them bash the bugger for all they're worth and try to take it down if they wipe. At 50% Lodi smacks down the Warrior, ATTACK. POW 6k HT, Fest Dark, Ignite Blood, Spear of Decay, Touch of Vol, bam bam bam. Me and my pet are givin him all we got with the 53 Druid strictly on heals. 20% to go, mana chack, Druid at 35m, 5% mana chack, Druid at 10m. Lodi owned IN TEH FACE OMG. And that is the story of how a 64SK and 53 Druid took out a lvl 60 Turtle. /mourn the deaths of those who made this kill possible. <Rising Force> Rodcet Nife

As a level 65 magician, I soloed Lodizal a moment ago. With gimpy heals and no slow, keeping up the pet can turn into a bit of trouble, but with nuke crit AA's as well as spellcasting subtlety, so that you can burn down the mob fairly quickly with the pet still tanking him, it's doable. I didn't even bother getting any other classes' buffs on either me or my pet. He only hits for up to 300, and perished after three minutes.

Just trio'd Lodi with 61 Beast (me), 56 druid and a 52 cleric. Was a little bit tight at some points, mainly since Lodi resisted my slow a couple of times............but we pulled through it and got him down.

It is obviously alot easier if you have a shaman to slow him since then his DPS is the equivalent of a tier 1 PoP mob. Just remember to watch enrage.

Now to usefull info.........he came up on track just past ToFS but then despawned quite quickly and was replaced with Garou on my bars track. Then a few minutes later (the time it took me log to my beast) he was up again and was going through the gnoll village. Quite a fun fight........also dropped nittrims page 300 ( but i'm guessing that all mobs get a chance to drop that)

Hope this helps

Can this group solo Lodi?
# Aug 26 2003 at 6:03 AM Rating: Decent
I was wondering, before I go to thinking of doing the Eyepatch Plunder Quest if a group consisting a 50Sk (Dark Elf), 65 Necro (Iksar), and maybe a 62 Druid (Wood Elf) might be able to solo him with ease. I know It is pretty low for an Sk to do, but the Druid could heal and all. Any replies help. (Btw, thinking of getting a Shammy too)

It IS possible. Might be tough. Would be easier if you could get a slower or something. Maybe Fear Kite him, if that's possible. Or have the Necro Monk Pet Tank :P
