Wouldn't you know this rare pop just had to pop all over me. I was running around in Misty feeling pretty confidant. At 13th level there wasn't anything there I couldnt handle. Someone had sow'd me and I was zinging all over the place while I was chatting with a friend in Kelethin. I'd been picking goblin pockets for practice so I decided to zip on in to the camp and pick up a few coppers. Then WHAMMMO! Goblin alchemist-I didn't even know there was such a thing. Well he smacked me good and pretty soon I was toast. I always seem to find the rare MOBs, or rather they find me...just my luck I guess.

I assume when you say "STUPID," you actually mean to say "IGNORANT," which is why you are going to so much trouble to enlighten them and set the record straight.
Of course, the original submission MIGHT have been made by someone at a time when the Alchemist had a wider level range, something you may have been IGNORANT of. Not saying this is the case, but it could've been. I'm IGNORANT of the exact circumstances, so I do not want to appear STUPID in stating that as a fact.
A more productive use of your time in the future would be to submit a correction to Allakhazam. See the little link where it says "Click here to report a correction."? That's the one to use.
By the by, at precisely what level WOULD a 16 tank be even to an enemy again? Oh, at 16... you said that. My bad.
I was passing through the gorge of King Xorbb on my way to the Karana's and guess who I came across there. That's right.. MR Alchemist. Killed him about 30 ft from the ent to Runnyeye. I think his placeholder there is a wanderer that passes in front of the entrance.
or at least very uncommon I camped the single for 6 hours on terris-thule. I would kill everything that spawned near there loot em and if i didnt need the loot id destroy it (got a level off the runneye beads roughly 16 backpackfulls)and after i cleared the single tent area id go to the other gob camps and clear them out too. mooto spawned 9 times in this time and 1 orc shaman. =/
Just beat him, logged to see what the ribcage was used in. Hes a realtively easy fight. He does cast, used diseases, snare, and drowsy on me. At 17 he his me for mid 20s. Hes a pretty easy guy. Experience was decent, ribcage is lame. Chest armor, all/all, ac6, sv fire 2. aka leather armor has a better ac. Just as a correction though to his lvl. He was BLUE to me at 17 and wasnt too much of a fight.
The chest armor is one of the items for the treant fist quest for monks, it's not really designed to be used as a piece of armor. It can be, but it's not very good for the level of the person who can defeat this guy. 90% of the time, if you see a weapon or piece of armor that's no drop and really crappy for the level of the mob you got it off of, it's probably a quest item.
Just as a point of interest, the 2 times I saw this guy pop in Misty Thicket, he popped just south of the Orc Camp in the Northwest corner of the zone, not in the solo tent as is reported on the south side of zone. He was easy for me at 51, ridiculously so, but killed off a solo 23 rogue before i could get there.
After spending an extremely long time camping this punk i think i have found a way to trigger him...you MUST loot and destroy the corpses of his Mooto and goblin Warrior place holders...i did this and after 3 spawn cycles of 18 minutes he showed up, compared to the entire weekend where he did not show at all...this hasn't really been proven yet, but hey, its a theory, and that is better than haveing nothing right
Flyinsquirrel Odoom, monk of the 31 level of Tranquility
this theory and cycle time is correct, however, if you got him to show up in 3 spawn cycles, you got very lucky. i camped him for 3.5 hours one night, killed mooto a few times, there is also a goblin shaman placeholder, and sometimes it's just another gob warrior. ended up getting him the following night after camping an hour. the ribcage is nice, though...
Correction to the above...if you got him to show in 3 spawn cycles, you got very VERY lucky (-8
I camped that guy for around 5.5 hours, only got the warrior and Mooto placeholders. Rather exasperating and dull for me, 20th season monk who's going to level to 21 on those RunnyEye Warbeads...
This spawn is one arguing point for Gems at least...
It'll be worth it once I get those Treant Fists though.

as a halfling druid i spent a lot of time camping goblins and mooto was rare enough.it wasn't until level 15 i saw him for the first time and he was yellow, but with some help it was dead and i was able to loot the ribcage. now, just because it looks cool and has decent stats(not as good as leather), i still wear it at level 20.all in all, don't camp him cause its a waste of time and u will be there forever.
I was soloing the Orc Camp in Misty last night. When I turned around and stood watching the camp was Mooto. I polished him off & about 1 hour later the Alchemist turned up (I guess that no-one was camping Mooto and they'd both wandered across the zone :) Anyway, he conned even to me (Lvl 16 Bard). So I thought I'd have a go - it was a very close run thing, but I managed to waste him with half a bub of health to spare.
He is soooo rare. Camped him for about 20hours in a row. Didn't spawn until I left Misty and had a friend hold him for me until I came back. Pretty ezy, conned blue (lvl 23 monk), but good luck finding him.
