Spawns in the hallway and roams. I stood at approx -317, -563, 55 and he eventually wandered into me. PH appears to be the wandering goblin, either flame or cinder.

Well me 25 bst and my friend 25 bst we killed this guy about 5 times and got the shard 1 time out of the 5. We killed singe about 3 times while we were down there.
Hi everyone,I am very new to this zone but me and my wife her a 30 druid me a 30 mag cleared a path to the room he spawns in.Didn't know he spawned in the room.She had just gated to the Bazaar to get a kei and i was sitting in the corner waiting for spawn to pop when i heard this howl.It sounded like a werewolf.Kinda gave me the spooks So i told my wife to hurry.Seconds later i heard the door open to the room wife got back then I ran out and there he was at the top of the stairs!Sent my pet after him.(earth pet)While he pounded on the pet me and my wife nuked him to death he went down quick.Pet kept him rooted almost the entire fight, he never touched us.Dropped the kobold boots.We camped the room for 5 hours total he only spawned that one time singe spawned 3 times and foreman spawned once.Hope this may help.
Could I solo this guy as a level 30 ranger? (the sad thing about being a higher-level ranger is that you begin to miss the days when you were an great soloer.... now I get killed constantly because of my low hp)

If you can't solo as a lvl 30 ranger, then you don't know how to play your character. My 37 ranger has soloed IC, EW, and DSP, and will continue to do so thru at least lvl 44. Yellows? No problem! Fight animals, you clown, and use the tools at your disposal!

Well if you'll notice he asked if he could solo this guy, which is not an animal, at level 30. You probably could easily if he was the only thing you had to fight, other goblins might jump in though.

He hits HARD, so, dont solo him if u are a tank, i was checking this place out yesterday, when i got there, there were 10 other ppl in this zone besides me, one was around my lvl so i grouped with him, he was geting a bunch of formans tunics for his friends, i was here jus to explore, well, this guy poped right when i killed a fire goblin and BAM 92 dmg and a few other hard hits, well, he droped the boots, and i got em cuz i had raw hide boots.

is is it true that that the shard isnt a lore item because if it wasnt then just camp preditor and you have some easy money!!!

Not easy money. I camped him for 3 Days trying to get the Shard for another character I have.
Never got Shard but did get 4 pairs of Kobold Hide Boots, and got a Foreman Tunic between spawns.
Kobold Hide Boots are very nice for DOT Casters now that they have Extended Affliction II.

I'm thinking of getting this as a gift for my IC GF. She's a level 17 DaEl warrior, I'm a Level 32 DaEl Cleric.
I've never visited Sol. Don't laugh, i've just never really cared to. If i decided to go and get one of these for her, could i do it with just a group of 6 of my level 29-36 cohorts?
Also how much is this guy camped... if i show up can i expect to be on a 3 group waiting list, or is it likely my group will be the only ones gunning for him.

I know this response is a little late, but I'll say it anyway. First of all, I wouldn't laugh that someone had never been to Solusek's Eye. Instead, I would expect it. On Tallon, that dungeon is almost always deserted.
Secondly, a full group 29-36 will blow away this camp. At 36, everything you meet in this part of the dungeon will be green, with possibly a few aquas for flavor. As a 37 non-twinked iksar monk, I can fight my way to this camp, break the spawn, and hold the camp solo easily. I can do that all without using feign if I'm careful.
And as for the camp, I'm sure you'll get it. I've been in here a lot with my friends, and our group is usually the only group there. If someone else is there 9 times out of 10 it's a wizard looking for the heart of fire for his or her staff of temperate flux, and that will be a completely different part of the dungeon.

When he's got that Shard he peirces ya for double 50's over and over. Hits Hard as anything. Beware, try to break the spawn at the bottom of the stairs so the Pred will spawn alone. Makes it a lot easier. Also, if your pullling to the Foreamn room make sure his 18mins are not up before puling this guy. The Prde and Foreman are a nasty combo. (Exspecially because the Foreman spawns with 2 other gobs, making a heal from a cleric or whatever a taunt to anything close to it)

So it's approximately a spawn rate of 18 minutes the Kobold Predator? Is it about a 20% chance that he will spawn instead of his PH? Also, does he still spawn at the top of the stairs just before the foreman room, like Biafra said back on March 13th?

Thats where he spawns, and it seems to be more then 20% to me, more in the range of 40 or so.

Last count on Place Holders for this spawn was 4 different types: goblin shaman, cinder goblin w/FS Rapier, goblin youth and goblin wizard. That is common spawn but when he does decide to appear say HELLO to a sweet backstab 124 +/- 20 is what I have heard of(124 I felt). Just be glad Singe does not go down that passage way.

Boots are his common, Shard is his rare. I think he is on an 18 min spawn time + when his PH pops.
