I'd like to know if these things are soloable by a 50 chanter?I'm doing a lot of quests and saw this one and thought what the heck i'll go ahead and do it.Already got the silver wand and in South Karana right now.Once I get the wand enchanted by both the ppl i'm going to Unrest to kick some dusty werebat a$$.I might get a tank to back me up or at least guide me there since i am defiently NOT good with that zone.

Dusty werebat spawns in the basement in the hag/werebat room up on the top ledge. Seems to be pretty easy to run past him w/o aggro unless you get real close.

Actually, YOU'RE wrong-- they only spawn on the central ledge of the hag room in the basement... never in the maze. You probably saw one that was pulled from inside and stopped in the maze.

My friend and I killed him last night, 16 lvl rogue and warrior (with 50th lvl druid buffs).
He dropped change and a topaz.

Hey.I can't get into the equipment part of this site because i'm not a "member".Therefore i can't see what the stats are on the Incandescent Wand so i don't know if i should do this quest or not.Please tell me if you know.I would greatly appreciate it!If you see any of my characters on the Zeberuk server please send me a tell saying what the stats are!(i might not have spelled my server correctly)

It drops either the pouch of silver dust or the werebat wing. ITS NO LONGER BROKEN. Enchanters rejoyce :)

The above person is probably a newb or just plain STUPID! dusty only drops the pouch and cash maybe other thing without much meaning

Saw a post from Absor about the dusty werebat and he said it was broken in such a way as to make it very difficult to fix it. That was all he would say about it though. Did not say when it would be fixed.

I'm a chanter who needs the Silvery Dust, but don't know how to "summon" the werebat......or even where it spawns.....if in the basement.....in the hags/werebats room or in the ghost room?......some elder chanter.....please led me a hand....
A Dusty Werebat has dropped in uninvited a couple of times in the last week. My group, 18-21's, is fighting by the hedges near gazebo. As a druid I lev to top of hedge so I can heal without bug bites. Dusty bit me a couple of times from inside the maze, but when I moved away he quit. Other times he has just appeared in the fight. It really doesn't appear he is part of the house train. Four of us were able to kill him, but then things got ugly and I don't think he was ever looted <sigh> sorry I can't help you there.

I also noticed the "!" and human appearance. I petitioned it as well, and was told some quest monsters appeared that way. A petition a day later got the head GM instead of a guide, who confimed that this MOB is currently broken.
He said it should be fixed in "the next patch", although that was one patch ago, and it was still broken at last check (3/14/01).

it is still VERY broken i have not seen the dusties yet but i have seen and nuked to human a few times hope this fix it soon

ok i killed this human looking !a dusty werebat like 20 times no loot heard he was bugged cause the ! so petitioned a gm who came and just said he would put it in his report. so im trying to do this quest if anyone has any idea what up with him please post cause i really want that guys loot

Well the dusty werebat has been nerfed or something because now i've never seen a dusty werebat in unrest just a !a dusty werebat with a ! before dusty werebat

FYI, the mob has "a dusty werebat" above it's head, looks JUST like a regular werebat, but has that little extra "a dusty" to make it stand out from the rest of the werebats.

Kind of obvious when you think about it, but worth mentioning just in case, but these little suckers are NOT undead and can see right through that otherwise very hand Invis vs. Undead spell. Keep your eyes open when running through the house, lest you get jumped by surprise.

The Werebat wings are for Necromancer Robe of Enshroudment Quest. The Pouch of Silvery Dust is for the Enchanter Incandescent Wand quest.

They also drop a werebat wing which is lore also.

dusty werebats drop pouches of silver dust, no drop, for enchanter quest. When they are dropped, shout out for an enchanter to go loot it.
