In the info at top of page they say he is in temple guarded by silver guards well this is true in a way he isnt actually in it but if u go in there is like a warp and u will be warped near him or close to that Green bubble i have heard
AoF actually located in his own area of CT, and not protected by any silvered guards - go in the single door on the far left as you enter the courtyard, near the back double doors. Follow this left and around a bending hallway then down to a single door. He, or his place holder, will be in the green bubble beneath the water floor. AoF can also be reached via the sewers, however with invis there is no need to bother with that approach.
I hate hearing mobs have unlimited mana, ive never seen one with unlimited mana...they just have like 2 or 3x more than pcs...dont believe me go find a green caster, whack it and stop fighting. It will go OOM and just start meleeing you
mobs harm touches do not go by the same rules as a players harm touches if you havent figured that out by now no offence but you dont have it all togather up there
Actually, the AoFs harmtouch CANNOT deal only 381. I was camping him last night with a group and full HP with a few buffs (approx 750). He frenzied on me, hit me for 70+ and 60+, then used his HT. I was killed instantly. Remember, NPCs tend to be able to exceed the bounds that verant has placed on PCs...
Okay, the deal with monsters is this: When a monster goes into combat, it gets a set amount of mana it can use. If it uses this mana up, then it can no longer cast. HOWEVER, if it goes out of combat - even for the instant it takes to target another player after killing one - ALL its mana is replenished. So, the trick to running a monster out of mana is to either a) not die, or b) forget about running him out and just kill him.
Go attack an orc priest with a level 40 character. Sit there for 5 minutes. He then goes to melee. He might throw one last strike or something with regen'd mana every few minutes, but that's it. Same thing applies to higher npcs. I have seen clerics that throw superior heal run out of mana. It is very pathetic, and a tedious half an hour affair often, but it happens.
Keep in mind their regeneration rates don't behave like players either.

How do we have pictures of the gods, and the Planescreatures, but, no AoF? I can imagine why there's no Vox or Naggy, but AoF is easy to get to compared to them.
Yep. Harder hitter and fast. At 31st and an enchanter I was mainly there to keep the other mobs at bay, buff the tanks and clarity the casters. But twice, sitting down, minding my own business, where I thought was a safe place, I was HarmTouched. Doesn't quite cause the 500+ mentioned above but damn it's scarery as a caster to see more than half of your HP go in a second. I would estimate more in the 400-500 range. Try not to cast any DD or DoT spells on him at this level (31st) as they will just be a waste of your mana, even with Tashani cast. Tanks and Clerics are a must and then just get some buffers or a high level (38+) wizard. But man is he a cool looking mob. ;)
No, MOBs do have unlimited mana. MOBs don't cast constantly to make a *bit* more fair. Spells hurt, imagine a zealot striking you by wrath 6 times in a row. Do I hear the angel's trumpet? Yessir-y =)
The HT from the avatar can easily be absorbed by a Necromancer with Harmshield up.Its a good way to pull the AoF in fact. The HT damage seems dependent on Magic Resist too , our enchanter , fuly buffed with endure etc took only 300 damage from the attack. Warning , you will never defeat the AoF if there are Lizzies healing him. With 3k hp and quad attacks maxing at 90 odd he needs careful respect. The AoF is very resistant to some spells too.
