Quartz CrystalI was just camping the putrid skels waiting for a friend to get online when i saw him spawn. He conned blue to my lvl 17 druid so i thought i'd try it. Well after the initial shock of loosing almost half my hit points in his first volly i was a bit unsure whether to continue so i zoned to NK. i went back after a couple minutes once i was ready for him. Although this time i pulled a putrid skel along with him luckily i beat them both with about a sliver of health left. I wasn't giving up a second time.

The putrid skeleton on the other side of the fallen platform, very close to the dwarf skeleton, is the PH. He is on a 20 min timer. This Putrid Skeleton when you kill it says "Come visit Barger" or something similar. You'll know you have the right one when you kill him.

Hes now undead, and he can Harm touch for about if I remember 170 damage, his first attack.
At lvl 30, quite an easy enemy of course, but I could tell he had a lot of HP

So he still spawns at the undead area by NK zone? or where? can someoen give me some locs where they found him and is he a static or random spawn? if he's random this sucks cause he used to be so easy to find it wasn't even funny.

He spawns under the tower to the right of where he did, before the patch that changed him.
He's now an "undead" gnoll, as opposed to a splitpaw gnoll.
There's another monk camping him there now. If I can get a spawn time, I'll post it. It's been 4 hours now, and no Ghanex Drah =/

About an hour ago, I was passing by the ruins on my way to a group at the gnoll spires when I saw him on tracking. I didn't know who he was so I investigated him. I got a little too close and he jumped me. He was standing still, like he was crucified, and he looked like a smaller exhumed gnoll. He /con'ed green to me. He did a 150 point harm touch, but couldn't hit me after that. I nuked him 3 or 4 times - it happened kind of fast. I picked up his head. Given the rarity of the spawn, I'm going to start my own monk.

I haven't seen him spawn since the last patch. Used to spawn like every 15-20 min, now i don't know how long. GM says he is still there, but I don't know.

where can i really find him i need his head for my monks quest is there any trick to get him spawn?

Ok if you zone in from NK from across the bridge he is usually located on the back side of the undead village. I killed him the other night, when I saw what the stats were on his head i just destroyed it.
Watch out for his DOTS they can pack a punch , I soloed him with my 23 lvl warrior and he beat me down to 2 and a half bubs.

he dropped his head. -10cha and -5sta I think. a bronze dagger and a velvet chocker +5 hp. did a good job of beating me too at 25. his pet died harder than him. maybe it was just me.

A shaman friend and I just wasted Ghanex Drah AND his pet in about a minute and a half. We are both level 17, so he went down fairly quickly. Beware though....he has some serious dot spells that will drain your health quickly. Unfortunately, neither he nor his pet dropped anything. Next time, Ghanex, next time....

Good exp all the way to 20th level... I just rooted the pet, switched to Drah, and 3 careless lightnings later he was down... loot then zone... pet not worth it. After about around 30-40 kills this is what i looted: (3)+3 int earing, (5) Polished Bone Hoops +10 mana, (1) RTS, 5-6 gems in the 6gp range, (2) quartz Crystals +5 hp worn in off hand, (2) Crysknives magic 4 dmg 21 dly. I think thats it.. his head seemed to drop every other time.

At 16 I would sit and wait for an elephant calf to come by. They are very common. I would then befriend it and have it attack him. Then swarm, burn burn burn. The elephant is usually feared and boiled, etc. but b4 the guy can figure out what's going on, he's dead. Pretty slow respawn rate but he drops bronze. HOOT

Drah must be pretty tough for a Warrior to fight. My level 30-some dad with an EXE axe only killed him after taking 50% damage! he must've started on hte wrong guy. What level would a Ranger need to kill him?

At level 18 as a Shaman I was killed twice by this geezer before I finally managed to kill him. The second time I was killed I concetrated on his pet first and killed that before I died (although that took quite a bit of effort). Then came back again, and his pet this time was a LOT easier (killed it with one hit). I don't know if this was because it was unbuffed or if his pet level range is quite large.
I got his head, some jem and a bronze spear off of him.

He drops random items. I have looted a crysknife, a PBH Collar with 3 ac 5 Hp, a 5hp orb, and Jade Ring from him. I kill him anytime i see him.

one force shock, 1 flame shock and that's a overkill. although before i could complete sending him into his next life, he did cast engulfing shadows on me which took me down a bubble. he's a wuss, and never drops anything but his foul head for me.

I have gotten from this Gnoll the Crysknife (Twice) +10 Mana earrings, +3 INT Earrings (Twice), assorted Bronze Weapons and misc. Non-Magic jewelery. He drops pretty easy when I was 24th. I still kill him now that I am 29th just because.

solod him easy at 24 ranger just rotted his pet and wailed away on him lost only one bub of health then turned on his pet who is incredibly weak...

If we are talkin about the same drah that hangs out at the undead camp, and i see that we are, he's a weenie. As long as i got my pet that is. I put my pet on him to intterrupt his casting, then I cast bolt once.. 150dmg, then again another 150dmg he goes down. Hardly ever casts on me. I was solo'n him good at lvl 20 with the bigger bolt spells. He was a bit tougher to do at 19 with old pets and the 95 DD spell. But I managed fine then too. He's a puppy dog..

Ghanex Drah can now be found at the undead spot just south of the bridge in South Karana and drops an item for a monk quest that I think is not no-drop.

In the lvl section for Ghanex, be carefull all you would be ghanex slayers, I am lvl 26, and by the time i finished him off, a little over half my health was gone, and I was dotted pretty heavily. I was using an executioners axe so don't think it was just weak hits on my part, he's alot tougher than any other lvl 16ish mob i've ever fought.
