Quartz CrystalSo I've been spending 2 hours a night trying to get this guy to spawn. Most often, I used the kill the dwarf skelly before it despawns method - no pop. So I just clear camp, clear camp, clear camp, clear camp, clear camp, clear camp POP. His PH is the putrid skelly right in front of the tree, next to the downed staging thing. I didn't kill the dwarf skelly or it's PH (the sitting putrid skelly) once. Just my recent 2 cp.

The putrid skeleton on the other side of the fallen platform, very close to the dwarf skeleton, is the PH. He is on a 20 min timer. This Putrid Skeleton when you kill it says "Come visit Barger" or something similar. You'll know you have the right one when you kill him.

I was messing around at the ruins with my Necro collecting some bone chips when he started hitting me. I killed him and he didn't drop anything.
Being curious, I decided to kill everything there and see if he would repop. Eventually he did and he died again this time the head dropped yay me.
If your on the Tunare server and a monk send Fayben a tell and its yours. I have no use for it :)

Ghanex Drah's Ph'er is the Putrid Skelly NEXT to the dwarf skelly. I spent some time ONLY killing the putrid at Loc +1365 +1065 in the skelly camp and have had him spawn 2 times now, once with no head and once for someone else.
The skelly is on a seperate timer to all the other skellys and Grahnex Only spawns at night. Ph'er is on a 20min timer or thereabouts.

The dwarf skelly is unrealated to Ghanex! Although it does spawn very close the Ghanex's PH.
Ghanex's Place Holder is a putrid that says something like "Barder will kill you!" it's right next to the dwarf skelly spawn to the left as your facing into the camp.
How do I know this? That putrid is on a different timer then all the rest, 20min. ALSO I wasted the camp multiple times and he only pop'd in that one spot. (After a few rounds of wasting the camp I switched to just that spawn and was able to get Ghanex to spawn 4 times alone just doing that).
Ghanex does NOT always drop the head either... took me 5 spawns of Ghanex before he dropped his head.

All I did is concentrate on killing that small Dwarf skelly that falls from the sky and despawns in 2 seconds. I made a target...attack hotkey to do this. I postioned my cursor EXACTLY where he spawnd. than hit hotkey and would kill it..took some practice, but once i killed it 3 times. That Beutiful Gnoll popped about 10 feet away just on the other side of the broken tower thingy. hope this helps.

As soon as it would pop, I would hit f8 and kill it. I did this for a LOOOOONG time, and never bothered with the other skeletons. He never showed.
I finally got bored and started clearing the camp, as well as staying on the dwarf spawn. Shortly after clearing the camp for the 4th time, he popped. I killed him.. no head. I proceeded to kill everything (partly for the satisfaction :) and got him to pop again. This time he had the head.
My advice... kill it all. It will keep you from being too bored, and in my experience it helps.

i saw this guy at a camp with gillioutines in wk.
he looked like an abombination from warcraft 3 except much much smaller. he was undead looking, that was for sure, as he had a open wound in his head and stomache

I just killed him at level 12 on Firona vie server. Of course I have a few nifty items but who cares lol. Funny thing was I was there trying to get my yellow headband done lol. Still cant findthe putrib Rib Bones, any help in that area will be appreciated

Putrid Rib Bones are found off of Putrid Skeletons at the ruins of Qeynos Hills.

Go to the undead camp south from bridge to North Karana (number 1 on eqatlas map).

If you at the camp and look east to the tree there is a little broken wooden construct. Place yourself close to this and look to east (undead camp in your back).
Every 6 minutes and 15 seconds a little skelly is falling from the sky. It will despawn very fast (about 1 second after falling from the sky) so be ready to target (F8) and kill it asap.
The skelly will be a dwarf skelly in most cases but may be another skelly as well (putrid who is dropping dwarf bones for example).
If you kill the PH each time Ghanex will spawn sooner or later (took 4 placeholders for us until he spawned).
Ghanex is not dropping the head each time and it must not be night to spawn him.
You can leave all other skellys in the camp untouched, just kill the PH and you will get him to spawn fast.

i thought he said it shouldn't be night in original post? i have been at this guy for a few days and i can't even get him to spawn. i can't kill that falling thing fast enough i guess but if i clear the camp he doesn't despawn when he drops. maybe i'm on the wrong side. what am i doing wrong ?

well i found the little skellie. it actually spawned on the north side of the wooden thing he described at p1400, p1082. killed 3 of em so far.

I would like to say that this is exactly correct. I did nothing but kill the PH as described here and got 2 heads in several hours (needed two game days as he only spawns at night). Any monk wondering should follow the example in this post.

He spawned at 9:00 am and 1:00 pm for me.

The picture shown is outdated. The information about his spawn being by the eastern tree and broken tower with the dwarf skeleton as the place holder is correct. But he is an undead gnoll. Killed place holders until 9pm game time and he spawned. I think he'll only spawn at night since he is undead.

ugh, I hate him. I'm a lvl 15 druid and he conned black *this is on terris thule and happened 15 mins ago.. he INDEED spawned at ruin* so he hit me for 151 dd

Im doing the headband and sash quests for my monk,and of course i need this ****'s head for the fourth headband.I forgot to check up on where they spawn so i mostly just ran around and killed escaped spiltpaw gnolls(thinking they where PH's for the high shamans)until after awhile this guy popped up on track.after finding him at the undead area,I proceded to beat the crap out of him.Hit me with his HT,which did around 150 dmg,but he was easy.I was so excited to finally get his head.So imagine how pissed i was when he didn't have it.I couldn't believe they made it so he doesn't drop his head everytime.What,does it poof when you kill him or something?Oh well,im off to camp the ******* again...

I think the key to make Ghanex Drah spawn is to kill the dwarf and petrid(mini-size) skeleton at location +1406/+1082 and look south. You have to be quick on them, because they'll disappear in seconds after the spawn. After killing one dwarf and one petrid(mini-size) Ghanex Drah or a petrid skeleton might be a chance that will spawn at location +1350/+1050, just alittle up north from your current position. After you killing a dwarf or petrid(mini-size) go kill the petrid skeletons and clean them out, dont have to care about the regular skeletons. Rumors say that escape gnolls are Ghanex Drah's placeholder, I dont think that is true. I didn't kill a single gnoll to make Ghanex Drah spawn. This is the way I made Ghanex Drah spawn on 5/10/2k2, so if it doesn't work try something else. The head doesn't always drop, so good luck.
Location of Ghanex Drah is at South Karana +1350/1050, or also known as Undead Ruins/Skelly camp(#1 in EQ AtlasMap).

Took about 10 minutes. Killed all the Skellies with my 22 monk, untwinked, and he popped. If you can do that, do it. He'll pop soon enough. Oh, BTW, he was light blue.

I just kept killing the skellies for about an hour and poof! Easy kill but then again I was 36 atm. Dropped his monkey quest nogon.

I killed Granhex Drah today... lvl 26 monk.. He was cake. He poped at Loc 1350 1096. He is an undead looking paw and does not look like the pic above. From what I have read and seen Ren'Rex pops at loc 4350 1520 and is a precurser to killing Phido who pops at 2112 2510.

he's a little weakling all ya have to do is watch out for his heat blood(but it was a long time ago last time i killed him so things might of changed)

I am not sure that this is a sound theory but it worked for me 3 times... If you keep the skelle camp clear all day, of everything including Grimrot(be kind and shout that someone can come loot him if it was the undead version) and he pops around 9pmish game time sometimes he waits till later but never after 6am gametime. The undead version never even hit me, I killed him 3 times this way and got the head all 3 times. Was about a 3 second fight for a 31 monk. I hope this helps you guys, and good luck with High Shaman Grisok and especialy Phido, I wated 4 days for Phido to pop...

Im 34 Druid and i knocked this guy out with 1 nuke, hes simple and he harmed touch me for his first attack, maybe by killing escaped gnolls can help him spawn.

I sat there at the skele ruins for about 4 hours and the little bugger didnt even pop. Does anyone know how long he takes to spawn. It would be very helpful to know. Thank you
