These imps are a melee fighters nightmare. They have a very strong fireshield for their level.

They are summoned however, and are excellent hunting for Druids upto about level 17.

Chaotic Imps

In the Reboot cartoon they refer to that kind of sprite as "chaotic" meaning they are agressive to just anything that cross their path. I was hunting in Lavastorm for ingredients to make some Fire Temper (Essemce of Fire and Imp Blood) I spotted both a Fire Elemental and a Fire Imp. I tracked the Elemental since they spawn less often. I finally found the elemantal being chased by the Imp, and the imp KILLED the elemental right before my eyes... No wonder why it's so hard to find elementals...
I can tell you, I quickly avenged the elemetal death by slaying the Imp and looting its blood.
Lava Pears

A friend and I killed one of these early this morning and it dropped Lava Pears. It wasn't food and was Class: None, Race: Frg.
Anyone know what they're for?

A dervish we killed also dropped Rock Fruit...

I use snare as an opener , then run off , and just expulse - they drop in 4 spells max.

Can do the same with red con fire eles too , but need to root them every so often - at 14 took me 1 full mana + a 30% med between roots to kill - never got touched though - and a nice 7% xp for the kill.

Chanters get this spell at lvl52. It's called Tricksters Augmentation and drops in Fungus Grove I believe. I'm not positive as to the drop location cause I got mine in the bazaar. This illusion is bad *** and has a sweet proc for tanks

I play a well equipped lvl 16 Warrior and I can barely take these guys solo. Even though they're green, I take damage every time I hit them. It's not a pretty sight.

This is an great way to get blood stones for the cleric symbols and mage Ac shielding and research. Im a lvl 35 druid, so when my group is not killing gobs and such in sol dungeon or if im waiting for them to get into the zone for a corpse recov, i go off on a rampage killing imps. Root and nuke (vs summoned of course). Nice way to rake in a little extra cash and it will make all the clerics love you because you have a spell component. Give it to em and later they will repay you with rezzes. muhahahaha

Believe me it works. Ive been rezzed many a times and for free, thanks to bloodstones... =p
easy kills for 14+druids

This guys are tough if you try and melee them but are a kiters dream. The old snare, dot and expulse summon and you should never get hit by one. At level 15 with some good wisdom equip it usually take me 3 bubs of mana to get one to fall. I killed about 20 of them yesterday and only had one close call in which I had to melee it and it almost took me out. A good spot to pull these is the najera(sp) zone entrance. You can kill the impies and fire elementals in this general area and zone if thing get to hot and heavy.

I had like 720 hp and 2 langseaxes (BIG BIG BIG mistake) the #$%^ing damage shield did 10x the damage the stupid imp could do. Use 2h-slash is youre a warrior or the damage shield will wreck you

Didnt find them so annoying. I (lev 15 MAG) and a 15 Druid were grouped recently and killed those w/o any problems, even two simultaneously. Perhaps they changed their stats somehow. Just remember they count as summoned.

They have fire shields which will burn you if you hit them. The spell Cancel Magic can be used to remove the shield; it may have to be cast a couple of times.

These little buggers con blue to me at 15 and 16 as a druid with expulse summoned. Yet, for some reason, I almost always die... they hit HARD and their spell sucks hps faster than you can blink. So be careful when medding in Lavastorm...

These creatures generally travel in pairs, are much more dangerous than their alleged level or con would indicate, are the reason that firebuffs were created, and they aggro like crazy.
