Yama Twerik ponders aloud, "If only I had a flizzer valve, a spindle cog, and a spool of tin-plated wire, I might be able to make this thing work. I don't imagine that I've got any of that around here."
Ok, I was having the exact same poofing problem but I figured it out. I went to were Yama is standing inside the cave entrance and said both the "i will resurrect the battery" and "i am ready". He responds with the appropriate dialog and then poofs a few seconds later. If you wait for him there he comes back a minute later and kneels down and tells you to click your spell. The part in the instruction to follow him is not neccessay plus it fails to mention that you have to TARGET THE CLOCKWORK ON THE GROUND which would have saved me lots of time. Just stand there and continue on with the cues and clicking as prompted. Just make sure you have the clockwork (not Yama or nothing) targeted.
Hmm, tried your instructions to no avail. The problem I have is that after you say "I am ready", if you don't keep Yama targeted, he will eventually return to the cave entrance and give me the fail message every time. If I keep Yama targeted after saying "I am ready", the dialogue will continue (after he returns to the cave entrance) with the instruction to click the electrical charge spell. The problem here is that as soon as that instruction is triggered, the inactive clockwork poofs and is no longer able to be targeted, so the task inevitably fails. There is only a few seconds after the instruction to use the electrical charge spell before the task fails so I am going to setup a hot button command "target inactive clockwork" to see that will solve this issue.
Well, at least I got past the part where you're stuck. If you say "I ready", he will continue the dialogue, telling you to follow him. I have failed this step twice so far.
See, he pops out; just up and dissappears. Now there's an inactive clockwork about 2 steps away, but if you wait for a cue you won't hear one. Instead you'll hear the fail message "I can't believe he sent me this flunkie..". If you shock it randomly then he dies. When Yama dies he appears to be standing there again, but youcan't hail him. If you zone then he's gone. Re: spawn time, he was back the next night at least.
Anyone having trouble with this guy on the wizzy 1.5 prequest? I have made my electrical charge spell, and when I hail the gnome I get the correct response of him wanting help resurrecting the battery, but when I respond with "I will resurrect his battery" (or any combination of things including recharge his battery, the battery, etc) I do not get another response from him...
