Even with +300 in mag resist this guy will fear you again and again....
We didnt see him before he was all over us, and with all the (LD) running around we soon had a small train.
Tank Mercs died, Pets died, Cleric Merc dies... luckily Shaman and Necro landed so many dots on him so we could finish him off.
Fun guy to fight, very chaotic running LD around with 3 Feran's biting your butt for 500+ hehehe :-D

When I fought him early today I also resisted a spell called "Dragorn Screech" there was another dragorn near us being offtanked, just a normal trash mob, so it might have been him.

This mob spawned at about 4AM and despawned later that EQ day at 4PM... but this process did not repeat the next EQ day. I'm pretty sure it was a Tuesday in early December of the EQ year 3213, if that helps anyone coordinate what days he pops on.

As for combat, he's no joke.

I tried to duo him with an Anguish-geared shaman (70, 1350aa) supported by a decently equipped bard (70, 330aa), and didn't get him below 60% before he ended me. My shaman has max defensive AAs & just over 2000AC... max hit was just over 2600, but such hits were rare... half were misses, and most of the hits were around 800-1200. If I'd had an out of group healer and been able to focus on aggro and DPS I'd have had him easily. He doesn't rampage or flurry, can be slowed a bit, and will enrage at 10%.

I came back with my warrior buddy to take him down. The tank I brought has max defensive AAs and 15k hp with 2900ish AC... and with defensive going I kept him up easily with just HoTs & QHs. Max hit in defensive was around 1500ish and such hits were very rare. Drarakon didn't outlast defensive, and doesn't have much in the way of hp.

Hope this helps you knock him down ;).

Ran into him last night on the Tunare Server while working my way through to Ridgerunner; was in the valley taking down the undead murkgliders when he aggro'd from the bridge above. Resisted all of his spells, however he had some inpressive DPS! Hit me consistently for 1K-2.5K dmg. At the time I was a 72 Half Elf Paladin, 17K HP, 650AAs with max defensive. Luckily, I had Thurgadin Gate and made it out with 5% health left ... damn I love Thurgadin Gate, it has gotten me out of tight solo situations every time without being interrupted.

The dps at first can catch you by surprise, but isn't bad, just get slow in and you will be fine. Fear isn't that big a deal, resists and warcry help obviously. Stays up for 30min to an hour and depops? Spawns a few times a day it seems, like Stone thrower in NC, and shadowhunter and discordling warfiend in wos.

I have run across him twice. Both times were not good.

My first encounter he popped right on top of us and we had no clue who or what he was. If I am not mistaken, I think I got off a shammy slow on him.

Tonight he was up and I was showing him to my group and we were scoping out where we could take him at. Someone got too close and he agroed us. We had not crossed the bridge yet so when we got feared, this caused the 4 ferans to agro. I had shammy around the corner where the huge group of dragorns are and the AE fear got the shammy. This knocked down invis and the 7 or so dragorns toasted him quickly.

Our warrior told us with defensive disc down he hit max for 1326.

Getting him a clean spot with a bard singing away should make this guy pretty single groupable.

If I remember right he also dropped either a ranged item with +4 to regen and +2 to mana regen and some nice other stats as well ... or it was the shield with pretty much the same. Cannot recall atm, wish I would have written it down :-(
