Similiar situation happened to me. First time ever going to DS Zoned in and immediatly wham! 190 by the time I turned around he was hitting me for 900+ very shortly after like 3 secs I died. This guy conned blue to my 56 Ranger, Id say he is a little under conned.

so there i am just running around bored on my druid, thought i'd check ds, and there's a bag sitting on the ground in one of the spots, the one near nc. god i logged on my war and ran like i've never done before and i got it! just camp the spots i guess. funny too, happened right after reading Sombraz's post, guess he's my lucky charm. oh and a sidenote, i did not have the energy receptor on me.

you dont need the borer thats just storyline. the ore you need is a groundspawn (get the map with the spawnpoints from pages,cover and ore from eqtoolbox) i checked the different spots daily and never could get it till a friend who got this part completed wanted to show me the spot (i knew where they where ) and with him the ore was there where i looked days before 20 times daily(maybe cuz he had the energy receptor in inventory).the point it's not needed to chaase the borer, get the map and the receptor (for in case) and check the spawnpoints daily and soon you will get your stuff:)gl:)

ok, i'm becoming very frustrated with this part, near wanting to quit working on my 1.5 because of it. any helpful strategies or suggestions would be great from those who have had success at this. i've tried following blackfall, i've caught him right after spawn, i've checked the spots frequently, i've camped them for an hour+ at the same time 2boxing, i've even tried randomly running around. does anyone have any real strategy or tips for this?

this part of quest is nothing but a bunch of ********* aside from the fact that it's retarded to have a warrior chasing a dog around to pick up his ****, this whole part of quest is beyond buggy, not to mention how retarded it is for part of an epic to have a no rent item. i'm done with this until there's a patch saying they've resolved whatever is wrong w/ this.

He's been spawning in a tree near the bat ruins by the murkgliders 7 of the last 9 days. Is this common? or a bug? Sure would like to land the Ore to move on : (
After a week and camping this mob for 15 hours in DS I finally caught his spawn. Some random person agrod it to the BF ZL and had picked it up between the NC ZL and the BF. After running it around for 10 minutes the drop was found at loc +1544 +1321 +440. Thanks Odieson and Faaby on Fennin Ro Server for thier help in camping this BY FAR THE WORSE SPAWN for warrior epic. The drop was basicly at the top of the big hill leading to BF.

Just duo'd this mob on Erollisi Marr server. 70 warrior ( 791 AAs all def of course ) and 70 Shaman ( 201 AAs every heal aa a shaman gets !) .
I was at the Ukun Slavehunter camp after the 5 sv-all augment when B. Borer rolled up on me unexpected.
Took about 13-15 mins to kill him. Steady Quiescence and Yoppa's mending as needed. Never went below 50m with casual canni .
Max hit from Borer w/o defensive was 867. No matter what kind of magic base i tried nothing would stick. This is a melee mob all the way. He is not immune, just wouldnt land after full resist debuff ><
As my warrior already has his 1.5 epic, nothing was on the corpse ( of course ) to even shout to the guild / zone if anyone needed. Ah well, if anyone asks if this is something i can help them with, ill be sure to tell em yep =D

No offense meant to anyone of the previous posters, but the blue item near bloodfields ramp is for pally epic, the borer drop is only on the downslope leading to the nc zoneline, at the location i mentioned below..peace
Seems to spawn once an hour for like a minute tops. If he doesn't, and he just sits there doing nothing forever someone disturbed him. Means you gotta kill it. I suggest dc pet if possible and damage shields.
Picked one ore up at -846, 1059.

guy spanwed on me while killing the noc trio and hit between 500 - 1k a pop. not really fast but as a necro died pretty fast =P

yep he is doable boxed him with my 70 bst and 69 clr took about 15 mins maybe 20, but didn't have kei on and was able to handle him. Yes resisted everything, slow, ice nukes and my dots, so just beat him to death.

This mob is killable, but his soul purpose is to drop an item on the ground for the warrior epic 1.5 or 2.0. He drops the item on the ground below the hill when you are going to the Bloodfields. It looks like a half sphere blue glowing thing.

Have a Warrior on Tribunal named Wegerith. Was still buffed from getting help with a 69 rune in NC. Was running around and thought I'd try my hand at him. With 10.6k buffed. I stood him down till I had 36% health using my disc. Was able to get him down to 96% by myself. Seems pretty weak.

Was following left wall around to go to kyvhunter and this thing aggroed me 68 druid , had a direcharm filthy rat for pet who jumped on this , quick fight ofcourse was not ready for the fight , didnt get heal off on pet in time but noticed it was hitting me after pet died for 750 or so . will say i love exodus ! ps Blackfall borer never got under 98% .
Boxed this wuss with my 69 Sk/ 69 Cler. Got him down to 70% after about 10 min and my Cler was still at FOM basically. Resists everything I had, wanted to kill for the heck of it but raid got called so I'll have to have a rematch. Ahh well, I know I woulda won hehe.

Reading all these other posts, you must be pretty darn uber mr. 69 sk to get 70% after 10 minutes. lol

We were hunting for faction in DS when this guy jumped me (lvl 68 CLR). Fortunately I had SOE on otherwise I wouldn't have made it to Bloodfields with 2% health :) When I zoned back, a lvl 70 PAL and 68 SK were hacking away at him with little progress. He was at about 70% after 10 min or so when I (the cleric) ran out of mana and could heal no more. He hits for 900+ Good luck warriors :)
Dam this ugly pig, i was camping the Ukun Slavehunter and while i was rebuffing my Air pet POP just in front of me About 10 yard from the Ramp ther is was Blackfall Boar i had no problem out running it on my drog , now i sacrifices pet and i gated to my bind point in the zone i made it out alive but poor poor Xibit he sadly did not make it id like a moment of silences for Xibit .............. bah thats enough ty

Let's go back to the basics on this guy...he drops the blackfall ore for the warrior epic 1.5....it's his only purpose....he drops it everytime if left alone (rarely)...at aprox loc pos 576, by neg 812...he will agro anyone within his range and his speed seems to vary....however he couldnt keep up with my paly horse...confirm he hits for high and has high regen and hp and is light blue to 70 paladin....and with no loot ..not worth the fight..hehe just zone him to bloodfields....OH and he doesnt see invis...g/l all in your journeys /salute

Lvl 70 war 11k HP 1920 ac, 69 druid 5400 HP 220 aa, 67 chanter, and 54 cleric. Druid was pulling around NC zone line when this mob agroed. Druid was hit immediately for 2400 HP of melee dmg. Druid ran with SOE druid immediatly popped SOTW and ran along zone wall. The mob kept up with druid all the way up the the party. So it runs at least as SOE speed and the agro radius was absolutely huge. When the druid finally reached the party Warrior engaged immediatly with defensive disc popped. Warrior was hit for around 800 max and 450 average. Mob was only tashable. No other spells landed. No spells landed ie slow, cripple, druid fire debuffs, druid dots. 54 cleric never had a problem keeping up with heals. After 10 minutes of trying to land slow or any other spell I gave up trying. The fight ended up being pure melee. Warrior and 67 chanter pet fought the entire time and the fight lasted for around 50 minutes. Joy of joys it didnt drop a damn thing. Bottom line avoid this mob, its an hour of my life that I'll never get back.

Me, 69 Cleric 7k mana pool, 70 Enchanter 8k mana pool and 58 Warrior 6.7k Hps. Warrior was pulling infront of Nobles Causeway and this added ... after 10 min i was oom,((* chanter could not land a slow, nuke, or mez, even tryed stasis (AA Mez) nothing worked *))... Mob was only at 89% after 10 min of fighting ... Mob is a Melee Only Mob bring alot of Melee DPS ... ((*Mob quaded a few times for 800x4=3200 *)) .. when warrior died the chanter kited it and zoned through Harbringers Spire. I gated ... ((*This Mob did not Summon Once During entire fight unlike most other named in this zone *)) ...

Can't be tracked with ranger, bard, or druid in game tracks. Guess you need a 3rd party program for that.

Me, 65 druid, two level 70 pallies, a lvl 58 druid and a lvl 70 war too this guy down.. Took alost 40 minutes.. And guess what.. NO LOOT! Massive magic resists.. Only thing that landed was Malo.. And insane ammount of hps.. Was maxing on the pally for high 800's.. But he dead
