85 warrior and t5 merc took him down. 40k hps/5500 ac unbuffed, 4k+ aa's, mix of Crystallos raid/OMM raid/Convo group gear, used Convo DPS weapons. Roughly a 10 minute fight but never was close to dying.

3 mins my *** biggest bs ive ever heard in my life lol !!, 85 mage 1600 aa i duo with my T1 merc on effecient max pet tanking aa's. i didnt do **** but watch the pet and merc do all the work, took awhile...
Took him down pretty easily as a 83 mage with t3 cleric merc 973 aa. Fight took about 16-17 minutes, just kept switching from efficient to passive on my merc to put up the complete heal over time spell. dropped 2 runes.
we had: 75 SK, ~20k hp buffed with 3200+ AC, ~450 AA, and his 73 cleric box with roughly 300 aa. we had a lvl 73 shammy with unknown AAs, a 79 cleric with 1.5, ~200 AA, a 82 mage with 600+ AA, 1.5, and a 75 bard (me) with 17k hp, 2600ac, 550+aa. our first try we died due to lack of healing coordination and lack of slow, but our second try we wised up. i pulled with harmony of sound, followed with fufil's and began meleeing with a tash orb while the SK took aggro. after Velitorkin was tashed, maloed, and i had harmony and fufil's running on him, bard slows landed 100%, the shammy had trouble landing slows throughout the fight, but kept panther and HoTs on us. i kept him slowed throughout the fight. then we just stood around whacking away at him. he eventually died. to sum up, keep everyone levitated, get him slowed asap, and keep your mana level up throughout the fight and you'll win. he dropped two greater runes and the necklace.. not the scepter i was hoping for. maybe next week.
thought I'd try him as an 80 SK, 18k hps, 3400ac, 1400 aa's. Not very soloable. Hits for up to 2300. Between 1k and 1700 often, rampages. Not a ton of hps, but a lot. Lev helps with this proc. If you are soloing, it's great. He will throw you in the air, then summon you back to him. Also flurries.
Soloed with 80 SK. Did it a few months ago. Took a couple attempts. From what I remember I was trying to use the journeyman/willsapper slow on it but couldn't get it to land so I just soloed him unslowed. The FD/knockaround was a PITA.
Can you people stop arguing over the posts about how many people killed it? I for one and thankful for those posts. I am constantly reading posts like "it took 40 of us to burn through the Mastery of Specialization trial" written 3 years ago without any form of update.
I'll still contribute a little about this mob: Pull him out into the field when you kill him, if you try killing him where he spawns you'll have to dedicate some of your time to killing the adds.
just trio'd!!! 75 shaman, 814 aas, 75 monk, 962aas, and 75 sk, idk about aprox 1k aas if i remember correctly... pretty simple fight maybe lasted 2 1/2 mins 3 mins... sk pulled to corner.... slow didn't land after 5 time anthesis clicks so we said forget that.... monk burned it down pretty quick seeing how were all anguish/demi/por/tss this was a really easy fight
hmm I tried this mob just for fun, I mana blazed the mob for 40k dropped about 4 % so you telling me you as grouped you averaged 5000 dps per sec for 3 minutes straight. Sound bit fishy to me. Not to mention the aoe invloved.
Watched a Shaman solo it. I personally dont care if you dont believe me was the most impressive thing I have ever seen. This is also the same shaman who solo'd Solusek Ro and Arch Lich Rhag Zadune pre-PoR.
I don't sense that the question is as much whether or not this could've been trio'd as it is whether or not it could've been trio'd in 2.5 minutes, especially at the time of the post. The shaman's damage output would be largely diminished by their responsibility as healer. Even if you're otherwise able to sustain remarkable DPS the frequent Velitorkin Stomp will challenge your ability to do so as you struggle to regain control of the fight every 24 seconds. Ironically, the Velitorkin Stomp may be less disruptive for one super uber attempting to solo this event (since aggro control is not an issue) than for 3 just barely ubers trying to trio it.
I was casting Psychosis (200' range) with a 20% range increase... I was still getting "Your target is out of range" messages while still being thrown around by his AE.. then, after a rez, I ran nearly 300' away and still got flung.
this mob cons Dark Blue at level 75 and red to level 70 he is ether level 73 or 74 ( 73 if he is now yellow to 70 after they changed con system 74 if he is still red to 70s now ).
Set him up on wall west of him, keep him in the corner area, not neccarily corner tank... just keep him on the wall, we fast healed tank, was easy cause after slowed we just used divine arb / epic clicks. so at end clerics were at 95-100m .. we slowed it before start with druid / shm combo.. with malo, succor, then turgur succor.. we were lucky to land turgur on 1st try.
fairly easy fight.. could of done without druid, and 10.5k mana cleric ... and if i kept it slowed.. could of dropped both clerics.

Congratulations, you're a f ucking moron. If you ever post some b ******* like this again and make me waste my time by reading it I swear to God I will level up a toon on your server for the sole purpose of training you on a daily basis. And just so you know, I've never met a raid of coA geared people I couldnt wipe.
Hmm, I think I missed the point too, so that makes me a moron. Stop hacking on him. If you're so concerned about wasting time, go away, find something productive, and stop playing Everquest. He has done and said nothing wrong or offensive in his post, so I advise that you refrain from becoming verbally violent for no cause.
