When you attack him:

Praesertum Bikun says, 'Ho Ha! You wish to dance with the fat man, eh? Come then, let me show you a few steps.'

So I got inquisitive and asked, 'Why do you call yourself fat?'

And his reply:

Praesertum Bikun says, 'Have you visited the Plane of Growth lately?'

Cannot get any text from that, unless it's just a joke. (Joke being, he went to the Plane of Growth and "grew", or got fat)

Death text:

Praesertum Bikun says, 'Quickly, I must know! Are there wenches and wines in the afterlike?'

Anyway, faction points:

Shoulders of Seru -2000
Heart of Seru +200
Eye of Seru +200
Seru -100
Katta Castellum +500
Nathyn Illuminious +500

Are these arx shard guys trackable from zone in? You can track the other mobs that are in the same area all the way from seru's chambers, but, seru himself is not trackable.

Not sure, since I always moved in to just before the pyramids area (where the Praesertum are), and they were trackable from there by 65 as a Ranger with maxed tracking and no tracking AAs. They may be from the zone in with much higher tracking skill, as I haven't verified the range for a long time in that zone. (Packed zones like SSeru, seem to limit range due to number of mobs, versus open, sparsely packed zones, like West Karana).

On Al`Kabor server: CLR, RNG, ENC and WAR all 65 with no elemental gear attempted to take down Bikun.

Group set up in the jail where Bikun banishes to. ENC and RNG pulled Bikun which took a few tries, but they eventually got him.

As mentioned below, once in the jail cell, he's cake. Unslowable, Flurries occasionally, MR sort of high, lots of HP, 350 or so max dmg. WAR got below 40% a few times, RNG spotted. CLR was max FT and had no problems keeping up with heals. The banish proc turned the WAR around a lot and was generally just annoying.

The Centurions (Dark Blue cons) in the adjacent cells looked on as we killed him, but didn't add...different faction.

Dropped the smithing waist/back item and the shard. WAR is the happy owner of a new earring.

While not a raid encounter by todays standards (easily soloable), it is indeed a raid encounter. When conning him "This creature would take an army to defeat"

If you go by that, every mob in PoFear would need a tag also.

# Feb 13 2007 at 11:04 PM Rating: Decent
Lets not forget, even the trash in fear was a raid content, was a raid content back in the day when there was low level caps, and XP'ing in Fear was not possible from the high amount of adds. You needed a raid force to clear it.

I think the /con message is wrong.
Even when it was current content, it was single groupable.

Enen so, upon killing them the rest OOC timer is over 4 minutes, indicating a raid target as all raid mobs and no group mobs have that drawback now.

All of VT is 1 groupable now, even the final mob. Even less then 1 group doable, does not change the fact that they are raid targets just cause they can be done with less then a raid.

Trak, soloable, but a raid target
Emporer, 1 groupable, still a raid target,
Seru, sam as emporer
THO, Solable
The Burrower Beast, soloable.

Just a few examples of raid targets that we have grown beyond the need for a raid.
For that matter, all of PoFear is now trioable, duoable if the DPS can kill before the DT's.

Our raid tag is applied on a case-by-case basis. We're not going to tag them based on the in-game /con.

Generally speaking, if the mob took a raid to defeat in "its day" (as Trakanon did), it gets the tag.

An exception to this would be trash mobs in what is otherwise a raid zone (as in Vex Thal, Temple of Veeshan, Plane of Fear, etc.).

this guy can be found on the 4th level in the NW building at /loc -0.97, +239, +157. On the 3rd level you have to click a flag with a symbol on the wall to port up to the 4th level. As said previously, he will banish you to the jail. Can be ranger snared with the level 61 spell.

Killed Bikun last night with 70 bard, 70 warrior and 70 paladin
with a 59 druid healing the warrior.
Bard did awesome job of flawlessly pulling Bikun to the jail
area so that the banishment was ineffective.
We fought him in the small cell to the left as you enter the jail.
The worst thing the banishment would do to the warrior was
move him a few steps away and turn him around, only once
or twice did it move the warrior out of melee range while
fighting inside the jail.
It was a long fight, perhaps 15 minutes, and only once did
the warrior have a big drop in HP, but at no time was there
ever a danger, 59 druid heals were very effective when cast
at 70% health to keep warrior at 90 - 100% throughout the fight.
Nothing special really, other than just hammering him down
and keeping the main tank up.
Max hit (guessing here) was perhaps 350 but most in the
90 - 200 range, don't recall if he flurried but probably did
since the warriors health dropped a fair bit a few times.
Honestly, the hardest thing about fighting in the jail is
pulling Bikun there, once in the jail the fight is easy, just long.
He dropped the belt and the shard that I need to continue
the earring quest.
On a side note, Lord Inquisitor Seru was killed this weekend
and I was lucky enough to loot the head.

Loc is 0, 239, 154

or add this to your Seru map:

P -239, 0, 154, 0, 255, 255, 3, Praesertum_Bikun

All 4 Praesertums are on the FOURTH floor of their buildings.
Go up all stairs and click the wall ornament at the end of the small corridors to port up.
He will be in the central bedroom.

Spawn time is 3 days I heard. Not confirmed since I got the belt on the first kill. =)

Bikun is a rogue. He is unslowbable (although only moderately MR) and flurries so you wont solo it as a shaman.
The mutt tanked it however, with 1 cleric for heals.
Remember to /guard and hold for enrage :P

Aside from the endless pet argo/hate list/melee crap what does this guy hit for, any innate abilities or any other suprises someone should be made aware of? I plan to do this guy with one grp maybe less so any info would be great. Smiley: boozing

Can confirm - for anyone who was wondering - He is still unslowable and does still flurry. We tried him tonight with:

65 Bst (Pet MT - Paragon, Suspend)
65 Bst
61 Bst
51 Bst
2x C.Healers
Random, range melee to fill up 2 groups.

We managed to get him down to 15% before folks started getting banished off. Healers were starting to go oom but then again we didnt re-C before the fight apparently. (wuups)

Couldnt say how much HP he has unfortunately. But hope this helps everyone to figure out how well their respective guilds would manage against him. Good Luck!

We killed this guy the other day with a somewhat ill - prepared raid. Altho i thought i would have had enough pet/caster power to pull it off. We started off killing everything from the zone in to the upstairs of the building. Once we got outside the room,....our Mage rushed in with pet,..and everyone followed in suit , with healers closely watching the assigned pet MT. Things went great , melee plucked off the mob with arrows, casters nuked, and pets attacked. Until i called in melee at 50% . I knew i would get banished, being MT after pet, but one by one other members or the raid wound up in the jail with me, until the raid force was a bit shabby. Luckily all pets held out, and casters stayed alive long enough to burn him down. It was a fun challenge, and i completely expected to wipe on our first try.

One down, three to go.

RE: info:
# May 07 2004 at 2:48 PM Rating: Decent
Your mistake was to call the melee in at all, a pet can NEVER keep aggro off a player if they are both in melee range. The player will always take aggro off of the pet. So in short, just leave the melee back plucking off their arrows. Better to leave them there then get them sent off to the jail.
RE: info:
# May 21 2004 at 12:51 PM Rating: Default
after the 5th person/pet comes into play pets can't tank.
Example: cleric, shaman, mage, mage pet = 4, if shaman summoned pet it would = 5 and pets wouldn't tank.
RE: info:
# Jun 08 2004 at 5:16 PM Rating: Excellent
That is actually not true. Pets can easily tank for as many people as you would like. The number of people on the hate list only effects CHARMED pet tanking. I Have had a great time in groups with Mage, Mage, Necro, Cleric, Chanter, and Wizard. Since four of the group members had pets, we actually had 10 people on the hate list, but had no problem avoiding aggro.
