Arthikus conned dark blue to me at lvl 35 on two different spawns and *no* pet both times. Dropped emerald on second try. Lvl of 33 seems pretty close. I had Ghoulbane, Rodcet Nife and Expulse Undead and he was pretty easy to take down both times. Sorry, no screenshot, but IFIRC, he now uses the the new crypt mummy graphic. Don't recall if he cast any spells other than harm touch at first contact.
Found him along the northern edge of Ro between the gypsy camp and the orc camp twice. I killed all the undead I could find in the northern part of Ro before he spawned. Second time, there weren't too many mobs, but he still spawned. Don't know if that actually triggered him, but there wasn't much else to do and I collected some bones for Temple of Life faction.

Just seen this guy today and solo him as 34 beastlord no twinking, w/o going up to full mana.
When I saw him walking infront of me I see he is a dark blue so I figure I will try him out. This would be one tough fight! He was wakling then stopped, giving me time to throw some buffs onto my warder. Then as I put a few buffs on myself he started wakling so I sent in my pet w/ about 60% mana (i'm confident things would go much smoother if I had had 100%).
As things got started I drowsy onto this guy and then my pet begins tanking him and his pet. I decide to help out and start attacking the pet while my warder goes after Arthikus. Well my pet took huge damage right at the start, so I was thinking this wasn't going that good, but then it leveld out and my pet was doing ok and I wasn't really in any trouble vs green pet. I was throwing out pet heals as he needed it, but just as I was finishing off pet I was running out of mana and Arthikus was still around 50%!
I tried to med up as soon as his pet went down, but Arthikus start tearing down my pet so I went up to take the hits w/ nearly full life. My pet was literally at 0% health left..but still able to attack!=). at about 20% left on his hp I dipped below 20% so I decided to run, this when my pet died.
I took a tour of the lake while Arthikus was chasing me, but I was faster from SOW. Eventually I didn't see him so I med up to summon pet back. Then I was going back to merchants that I had initially wanted to go to, when Arthikus comes out of nowhere. I was only at about 30% hp with little mana, but full hp pet. Arthikus had gone back up to 46%. So I sick pet on him and Arthikus keeps after me. I kite him around and he goes down to about 20% when he sticks to my pet. So I start to med up and was gonna heal my pet, but it fizzled and I was too low on mana, so my pet died. I still had quite a bit of mana and ran ahead of arthikus and sat down to med, doing this a few times to get enough to summon back pet.
By this point arthikus only has 10% hp left and I have full hp pet. I got him down to 6% then hgih lvl comes help me . All my effors gets me a skull worth 2gold =)

Silly, silly, silly me. New to the Oasis and had not heard of this fine upstanding mob. Thinking he was another player or npc my lowly lvl 14 mage walked right up behind him, hailed him, and was promptly and unceremoniously slain in one swipe. I had been running around the water's edge invisible when I saw him and his pet just standing by the water and came out of invisibility to hail him.
"You have been slain by Arthikus!"
"You have become better at vertical positioning (687)!"
Just another mean arste sumbeechie like that freeking Tovax Vmarr over in QH. Like Tovax, this arste hole was a pleasant surprise to me. Hee hee.

Was at the Orc Hwy today and killed him twice about 30 min apart after he came and started wailing on my poor lil rangah body :( I am assuming he spawns right where we were hunting. Needless to say dont like this dude.

this guy is WIERD, lotsa people think he is a necro, but he is a really mean SK, i have just walked up to him with my lvl 33 Dark Elf SK, he conned white, and he just let me pass, but other times i ran past him and he HT'd me off the mark,i havent even tried to kill him yet, he will HT you when he engages in combat almost always, be careful.

A group of us were taking Orcs off the highway, and Arthikus was doing laps around the lake. The only time he aggroed on us was when we were sitting. Then he just went to town.
Group was Enchanter, Shaman, Ranger, Rogue and a Pally, I believe.

He has a special dislike of Pallys. According to the Lore, he was once Mithaniel Marrs finest Paladin. He was turned away from Marr and is now doomed to wander as an Undead Shadowknight (the absolute opposite of a Marr Pally).
Anytime there is a Pally in a group (doesn't matter what Diety) he has an increased chance of aggroeing.
If you are in a group have some of your people take out the pet while the rest beat on him. He usually sticks to his spells until either a: his pet goes down. or b: he is down to about 40-50%.
Once he starts to melee he pretty much sticks to the hack-n-slash and will only rarely try to cast.

Dropped with three casts of Lightning Shock tonight. I estimated hehad 1050-1100 hit points. Dropped a Piece of Marr Emerald and a rotting zombie skull.

I'm a 28 pally who has Ghoulbane and all spells up to my lvl. My equipment is higher than average for my lvl but not uber. Could I take this guy?

I dont think so... I was fooling around with my lvl 30 cleric and he beat me down so fast I was lucky to be near the zone. Well, maybe because he is lvl 35 but hey it still hurts :P. Plus that pet of his jumps in.

yeah you get a root at lvl 22 and it gets better the higher you go in the levels. it is pretty cool.
I was hunting Orc Warriors and Priests with my 22nd. lvl Pally tonight. I was on the edge of the Oasis near the corner that's between the gypses and Orc Highway.
I was waiting for 2 warriors to get just a little further away from this priest when I started taking damage. Had no Idea who/what was attacking me. I thought since it was spell damage that it was a Drybones Skelly. WRONG! I turn and there's Arthikus and his pet!
Remember that I'm only 22nd. lvl. The pet conned Dark Blue to me and Arthikus was just plain RED. I couldn't run so tried to make a stand. I had the pet down to 50% when I was "Feared", and started taking major hits. When I had control again i barely hit Lay on Hands in time! With full health again I was able to drop the pet to 15-20% using Ward Undead & melee. At this point Arthikus started doing Melee damage for the first time. I lasted about 20 seconds after he started to whack me around!
I had him on my list to go after so that I can upgrade my Ring to the Ring of Piety, but not at THIS level!
IF, as was posted above, his aggro is the same as any other zombie type - then I think it get's extended for us Pallies! Or maybe he spawned right on top of me!

was hunting for truthbringer gems in oasis an spotted a mummy and skelly, turned out to be these 2, they died, conned db 2 my lvl 35 Pally, saves me a job, i've got everything now execpt the 'common' gems, d'oh...
Took this guy out once on my druid (34) conned DB so either he has a level veriation or he is not a 35. Didn;t drop anything -- Not one dang thing -- Didn;t harm touch me either but melee'd when he got close like a SK. Had a Skelly pet -- RIP both of them

Im a lvl 34 pally, smoked this guy ez w/o buffs. Spooked pet, rooted arty, he harm touched me for 331, stepped back, healed myself, spooked pet again, hit Arty with a couple expulse undeads, started beatin on him, i think the most he meleed me for was 75 ish, I proc'd Nife on him once, and he just about dead. easy kill for decent ring.

Ive killed athicus many many times now and he drops this, a rotting zombie skull any body know what its for?
The skull is not unique to Arthicus. It's a quest item and can drop off any zombie.

This mob is a wandering mob and he is a SK not a necro. Unless Necros can now harm touch. I have killed him about 20-30 times so far in Oasis and he spawns very fast after killing. Dont know the exact time but I useally end up geting agro by him when I was quading the specs between the orcs and the gypsies. His agro radius is pretty big and if you are near him when he agros he opens up with a harm touch. Not that difficult of a mob. He was still coning dark blue to me at 46 so he is not 30.

Can't get the large agro radius to fit in my experience. When fighting at orc highway close at the lake shore, it was quite possible to be rather close to him without agro fom him or his pet.

Took him down today to finish pally Ring quest conned blue to me at lvl 39. Buffed myself put IoN up and also had cease memed cause friend said he likes to cast. Rooted pet and got hit by 300+ dmg spell engage and chain cast expell undead held off on using bash to interupt casting. Fight lasted 5-6 min really tried to cast alot when down to a bub of hp i'm guessing he has 600 or more hp cause he took 2 full blast from IoN and hp didn't go down much and just like the other mummies he wont run when hp gets low. He also roams near gypse camp around orc highway to the rowboat to spec isle. Drops a piece of Marr emerald or stuff other mummies drop embalming dust and raw-hide armor never hit for more than 60
hope this info helps fellow pally's who decide to do this quest.

i have killed him a couple of times in two different places so i imagine he is a wandering mob. also conned dark blue to me at 37. must be a necro zombie since he has a pet with him also. also the emerald doesnt drop all the time since once it did once it didnt. hope this helps for whoever needs it.
