FYI- with my 64 chanter today i was able to pacify him with the 62nd spell Pacification, with ymir at his side, pulled to safe corner, was easy split.

I 3 boxed him with my cleric and shammy, hardest part was the pull. Room was full, waited for roamers to path out of room. pacified both the militis and the kriger next to him with my cleric. Tagged him from between the stairways across from tables. Let him run to me and then run with him to corner. No Adds! pop furious-incite-evasive, slow, and CH. easy as pie. Dropped the ring.

Thangbrand has approximately 54k health (48k from my parse, but I don't track DoTs).
As a 64BST (550AAs) with a cleric merc, I had no choice but to pull Thangbrand and a kriger at the same time. Both were even cons.
Thangbrand average hit: 380
Thangbrand max hit: 627
It took me just under 6 minutes to kill him, cleric set on 'Efficient' didn't drop below 80% mana when I used Paragon.
In comparison to the jord kriger (approximately 54k health, with 48k tracked)
jord kriger average hit: 451
jord kriger max hit: 685
EDIT: Standard Elaborate Defiant gear and weapons.

was there at WTF for 2 hrs and pooped 2 times both times dropped bracer mold and spec parch also dropped a gem think of thunder?

Was at this campe for about 8 hours the other day. Thangbrand popped 6 times. Once he dropped the staff, once the ring, and 4 TIMES THE BRACER MOLD. Yay for teh plates, boo for me

Thangbrand spawns in the Middle South (Right Side) area behind a set of tables. Ymir Stormseer also spawns next to him. Krigers are their Placeholders.

He dropped an ornate bracer mold for us on June 11, 2003.
He dropped one for my group last night, July 14, 2003. He spawned twice in a row and dropped the Ring of Thunderous Spirits the second time we got him.

He drops leather boot pattern, its very rare. Have only seen it drop once in all my time killing him in bot (which is a long time)

Actually, Valbrand is the one that drops the drums, or at least if this one drops them still, Valbrand does too. They dropped yesterday for my group no bards though, cleric won to sell )
Dropped Greatstaff of Thunder and an SP today on The Nameless.
I've killed this mob once in group. Dropped nothing at all for us that time.

Actually smart guy each mob drops specific patterns. He was just asking which pattern this one droped.

I believe this guy drops the Thunderous drums that bards drool over
Also saw "Valbrand" today. Another big wolf. Spawned in the sandstorm area where a regular giant had spawned earlier. Location approx. n800, n300, n1500. Droped nothing.
