The Very Hungry Goral

The little goral was born at night.
In the morning it was very hungry.
The little goral did not know what to eat.

The hungry goral ate leaves and grass on its very first day.
It liked the leaves. They tasted very good.
The goral was happy the first day.

The second day the goral ate red berries.
It liked the berries even more than the leaves.
The goral was happy the second day.

The third day the goral found no leaves it could reach.
It could find no berries to eat.
The goral ate bright and pretty flowers.

The flowers made the little goral sick.
The hungry goral had a bad stomach ache.
The little goral was very sad the third day.

The fourth day the goral was very, very hungry.
It found another, bigger goral and followed it.
The big goral walked a long way that day.

The hungry little goral did everything the big goral did.
So on the fourth day the little goral learned how to be a big goral.
The little goral became more like the big goral.

The big goral ate purple grass.
The hungry little goral ate purple grass.
On the fourth day the little goral was happy.

On the fifth day the little goral woke up to see that it was bigger.
On the fifth day the little goral ate hanging vines like the big goral.
The little goral was happy on its fifth day.

Every day the little goral became more like the big goral.
Soon it was almost as big as the big goral.

And it was never hungry again.
