If it wasnt for this bow, OOC would be a problem in PVP , this thing is beyond the best pvp item I dont care what gear you have, you loose vs this item

This bow does wonders in PvP. I'm not on a PvP server, but I do enjoy a good duel, and this thing enables me to suck some mana out of casters easily, leaving me with a big advantage.

Id love this bow since im on Sullon. Decent saves and hp's, but mostly of all the proc. The proc alone would make most casters wince. It definatly would be nice to have.

Primodal(elemental bow) is vastly superior to this bow. I own one and can say that its
performance is one of the best bows in the
game. 28/29+1 plus stats are better, mana
drain is about the same over time since
you cant stack DoTs, the 50mana per proc
on the etemental bow you can do more drain
in the same time. I stuck a LDoN 75dd proc
aug on my bow, so now does 75hp+50mana drain
for procs.

There are better bows out there for a ranger, but you have to look at the bigger picture.
There is a reason one of the Elemental bows has a sieve proc, these bows are situational. There will be times when its much more important to have a mob loosing mana and HP, thats why VI made them so.
Now look at this bow. In the hands of a ranger after first 10 secs or so you are guaranteed that the mob will be loosing 100 mana per tick. Get 3 or 4 rangers with these or the elemental one and the chanters have no need to sieve and can use their mana for other things..
And this bow is way better than the elemental equivelant.
All in all an uber bow at the best of times, and in some situations, very needed

i hate to start this again but i play a ranger mainlyand thiers much nicer bows out thier for us and hey if your war can manage to shoot this and get it to proc on the 1st shot hell prolly get the arrgo 1st off and if im not correct that proc drains 900mana over 9ticks unless its removed and thats always nice just my 2cp but on a ranger it would be lovly since aslong as your ranger is shooting arrows itll b losing 100mana

In the proc it says adds 9 curse counters.....what does that mean?

The curse counters help determine how difficult it is to get the curse dispelled. The more counters there are the harder it is to dispell it fully.
If you want more info, look up shaman offensive spells and see how many counters their spells have as you go up in lvl.

is of the same name but has totally different stats. That bow is more like the Bow of Doom that drops off Doomshade.
Stats are 33 / 35 ac:10 dex:15 agi:10 hp:125 mana:75 svf:10 svd:20 svm:10
effect: spirit curse
If the 40/40 bow still drops it would be nice, but I'm not sure if it does.

Paluwen on Mith Marr showed it to me, when i asked he told me he got it in VT. The one he showed me had different stats ( the ratio was 38dmg 39dly and the other stats were better ).
I drooled we talked and then i went and killed some 'hoppers to make me feel better. Grats again Pal that is one sweet bow.

Last i was told by current VT raiders is this Bow was moved to VT were it was originally intended...only fell on Radir for 3 days...it was a bug..if im wrong sorry but this is my info. thanks

My guild has killed radir about 30 times to get his weapons and bracers. He has NEVER dropped this bow for us. I believe if it is still in game, and it been moved to a differet mob.

I just saw them posts about damage from a ranger and crits off bows so i would like to list mine (cus im vain like that)
i use a 30/39 bow with sumoned arrows from my trusty tolins bracer and heres my averages
average trueshot hit 240-390
average crit with trueshot (not sure y) 68
best trueshot crit 596
rangers were blown over all the other levs so when im 60 with archery3 and make crits with my bow for 2k dam all I gotta say is hay! i deserve it i put in my time!

I play a 60th level ranger with AM3, EQ, fleeting quiver, and use 11 damage, +4 fire damage arrows with this bow. Here is some info on the damage I do:
Largest Crit with TS: 2021
Largest Crit without TS: 997
Average hit with TS: 600
Average hit without TS: 350
Bow kiting average hit: 150-200
Bow kiting is usually against rooted or moving targets. Other information is against non-rooted and stationary targets.
I've done some raids on Kunark 32k mobs where I calculated my total damage, and found out that I did over 50% of the damage to that mob.
Putting uber bows into the hands of someone other then a ranger is like putting a willsapper into the hands of someone other then a warrior.
Many pieces of equiptment may be used by many classes. But please put the best bows into the hands of rangers, the best daggers into the hands of rogues, and so on.

Very well said Leadant, rangers are very often shunned because warriors, rogues, and other classes feel they have to hog what a ranger is best at - archery. In the most high end of equipment, you shouldn't get to roll(or win) an item that you can use just because you can use it. Be honorable and think what's best for the group. But if all the rangers on this raid already have this or anotehr uber bow... than I wouldn't mind someone else rolling on one of these.

with 30 damage bow +3 damage arrows-summoned-i do like 396 avarage bow shot and up to 970+ crits without AA.... guess what ranger could do with this AA and luclin's arrows . 800 ? 900? with normal disc shot sounds not like dreamin -and my dex is usually close to 130-.
Hehe i think everyone knows what is good for everyone now .....

Spirit of Radir no longer drops this from what I and others have seen. It may drop somewhere else but I have no idea where.

This bow does still drop, but possibly not from the mob listed. There were rumors it's been moved to SSra and placed on a mob of a difficulty more appropriate for this bow. Rumors mind you, but I wouldn't doubt their veracity.

Range on this bow has been upgraded to 250.
ok this is a great bow..if anybody who uses a bow frequently knows you have to be out a certain distance or get a target is too close to use message..now with a range of 19 this bow allows you to use while in melle range or very close to it and with the damage delay there is no beating it..basically if your a ranger you can melle and take a small step back and fire a trueshot and jump right back into melle with little or none movement..if you decide you prefer to fire from a distancejust use long range arrows..this bow rocks IMO

I actually have this bow so can post a bit on its use. This bow dropped and no rangers were present to loot it so I (L58 rogue) was awarded it by the raid leader.
The range really is 19 but I make my own 150 range arrows as many here have mentioned and that works well enough. Best hit with it so far is 81- not bad with 1 damage arrows.
For people saying they wouldn't use it because it has a low range, I don't think you really mean that. This is a situational bow for rangers. If you cant stay out of AE, switch in your 150+ range bow. If that is not a consideration, you would have to be mad not to use the best ratio bow in the game.

When this bow drops on Cazic Thule server, The groups should port me there to loot it! heheh,
