Got them last night, we found splitting the guards harder than killing Greig. He was easy...when you get it right that is! The gloves are great Mana Regen, good stats and a very healthy ac.
Out of about a dozen Grieg kills, I've seen these 3 times, so I'd label them uncommon... I'se seen the BP 2 times, earring 4 times, don't really remember the other srops, these are the ones I pay attention to being a cleric.
Great gloves, personally I don't ask for em as it's really easy to cap FT (I have capped FT and my guild has never even killed the Emperor of Ssra and we have never done NToV) and they don't have very good stats for a cleric beyond the FT. Basically I let the casters get the hands on those.
The really great thing about the gloves is how easy they are to get though. Grieg is a wimp, we usually bring 2 - 3 groups to make it go faster, because it takes forever otherwise. At least on our server we have no competition for him so we just drop him every week regularly, or more frequently if there are server resets (recently did him 3 times in 2 days with the patches for the expansion =p). Great farm mob.

The best item i have been fortunate to be awarded in a guild raid... a must have for all wis casters!
dunno if anyone here farms grieg but these seem very rare.

Well I think a farmer would be kinda out of a chance to get these concidering that these drob off the boss mob of the zone. That is a raid incounter not a farming thing. Anyhow good luck on getting them they are very nice gloves.
Depends on how you define farming I'd say, because I consider getting a lock on mob timers and raiding them over and over farming too.

These gloves now have 35 hps/mana on them as well, making them even more uber
Yet another slot to fill with FT items. Off top of my head is shoulder, range, foot, secondary, neck, face, and now hands. I know there is head slot for sk pally too, not sure about other classes. Now that FT stacks, some people can attain c2 mana regen on their own especially with mental clarity 3.

I believe this information is inaccurate. Corrction below:
ALL Flowinng Thought effects will stack with one another, poeriod. There APPEARS to be a maximum of FT15, as shown by multiple logs posted to various public forums. There are additional effects (such as "Zephyr of Brell" and "Lunar Whispers") that add additional levels of mana regenration, and as of this writing, none of these effects have been proven to NOT stack.
HOWEVER, the issue is complicated by some logs floating around out there that seem indicate there is no FT cap, but this is hotly disputed. The cap *appears* to be FT15, but unfortunately untill VI gives us a difinitive statement regarding the issue, nothing is certain. /sigh
***EDIT***: Sadly, mana regeneration via worn items has been HARD CAPPED at 15 as of the patch most recent to this writing. A discussion and logs proving this can be found here: http://www.fohguild.org/forums/showthread.php?s=928658e3466544a1fb59e06c80f44787&threadid=1543

Zephyr of Brell is a spell effect on the blessed coldain prayer shawl. It's a 20% extended enhancement that works on any spel level. It does not regen mana at all. The shawl ALSO has FT3 on it. This might be what's confusing you.
Actually while VI did say that FT items would only stack up to 15, they never implemented it correctly, and FT items will continue to stack past that.

so, 1st you kill him, then you wear his hands as a trophy? kinda gross, and mean to boot. =P stats are nice though ;)
well, what would you rather wear? this or Slime Blood of Cazic-Thule?.... hehe
