LOL...This guild "Ring of Valor" might have made this up eh...hehe. Anyway, they are in teh top 5 guilds on BB...which has quite a few upper lvl guilds. They have peeps in VT, done Ssra Emp and Seru numerous times..oh and ive seen that cloak on one of their bards..so before you start thinking that look for a home website perhaps, check out and see that perhaps they can do this mob and have no reason to make stuff up. Not a flame, just a fact.
I have to agree with you, I very much doubt that RoV would make up or ever need to make up an item to post. I wouldn't rate any of BB's Guilds as being "ubah" in the FoH and Afterlife sense but the likes of Fu, RoV, AO, UK are no slouches, either.
BTW, who'd you say the top 5 were? The 4 I listed I'd rate as the top teir, who else would you include at their level?

I obtained this sword two weeks ago. It is 46/44 now. Last week I got a Blindfoe. Shadowed Torment is junk compared to that, so it sits in the bank now. Don't think I actually ever swung it at a mob.
For SK's, if you can kill this guy, then you can kill Arch Lich and get a Blindfoe.

I hope, for your sake, that nobody else in the group or zone could use this weapon when you looted it when you had better(PvP or not...shouldn't matter).
Umm, check his post again. He looted this sword first, then the other one. He didn't know that something better would fall in his lap the next week.

I have this sword, looted it tonight .. the picture is incorrect .. its damage 46, delay 44 .. which makes it quite awesome. Came off boss of Akheva.

This item does indeed exist and I took a screenshot of it tonight while it was still on Shei's body. Also dropped 2 Ebony Armguards which have not been posted here. Stats are: 40ac, 15str, 10dex, 10agi, 85hp, 70mana, 5 fire/cold/poison/magic, 10 disease, usable by all plate classes. I and a cleric are proud new owners of the armguards, and a fellow warrior now has Torment.

The reason the ebony armguards are not posted here is because the drop in SSRA not AR. Just an FYI.
The Shadowsong cloak is not only Very LIKELY to exsist, but it does infact exsist. I can't say I know anyone with the Sphere, but I can't see why you wouldn't think it exsisted.
not to mention, according to this site, the same mobs drops all three...meaning they dropped this guy and were able to submit all 3 items...

Pretty sure this drops from Shei Vinetras. Boss of Akheva. Which makes this complete trash.

OMG Grimmlock what does the name of the mob or what zone it's in have anything to do with the quality of the item? Are just one of those players of EQ that get everyone killed and pizz people off all the time?

While warriors might use 2handers situationally, pallies and SKs should *always* use them.
There is not a single 1hander that, without dual wield, can outdamage even weaker and cheaper 2handers.
Plus: pallies have a rather limited choice of resist gear (we can't use most piercers that SKs, rogues, rangers etc. can use in range slot), so if I use a 1hander and shield, it's because of the resists - and this sword has nice resists.
And it has 3% skill modifier to 2hs (and pally/SK offensive skills already cap lower than warrior/ranger's).
This should go as little to a warrior who would only use it every now and than as many 1handers that are pal/sk usable with 10/18 or 12/20 ratios should go to pallies and SKs. (and there are plenty interesting 1hs in luclin)

Go look up frostwrath and fearsome shield, sit and think for a couple minutes, and come back and tell me pal/sk should always us 2hs. Specially when tanking, something I do alot of.
Well, as a 65 SK with a Frostwrath and a Fearsome Shield, I can say that the only time I use them is when im farming greenies for tradeskill junk. Any 2hander with a ratio less than 1:1 will beat almost any 1hand/shield combo. Theres like a 33/20 1hb that drops in the Plane of water, pal/sk. Pretty sure thats the only one that will give you higher DPS than most 2handers.
About the only time a SK/Pal should be tanking, of a guild that can dwn this mob, is in fear or hate, or against Slimers in ToV, where it doesn't matter if I get slowed, I'll still keep Mr Emmerald p/o'd at me, not the members of Nukaholic Anonimous. (/wave Vask, Zore, .....)
So SK/Pal would be better off using 2h weapons in most situations.

I think hes refering more to EXP groups than raids. I tank pretty much every exp group i'm in.

Go and look up palladius axe of slaughter.
Anyways.. the higher you get in level, the bigger the difference in damage bonus between 1hs and 2hs will be.
1hs is 11dmg bonus maximum at lvl 60, 2hs depends on the dl of the weapon and can easily exceed 40 bonus. With a good 1hs weapon you will slash for 50ies with a 30ish delay, with a good 2hs weapon you will slash for 150 with 40ish delay.
Add Alternate Advancement - crits and slay undead (seen up to 3k cleansing strikes) and 2hs wins hands down over 1hs.

To correct some of your information -

Massive Dragonclaw Shard, 28/30, can easily hit for 120+. Weapons such as the Longblade of Vitality will also hit for that much, easily, with an even lower delay.

Since SK and Paladin can only weild one weapon at a time it would be better to give the 2 handed weapons to this class so they can do a little more damage than what they would do using one 1hs weapon.

Yeah umm a paladin's dream... seeing that we are about the only class that still uses 2hs in higher levels

I have to agree. Paladins and Shadow Knights are NOT the only ones using 2hs at higher level, especially with the influx of so many new weapons. I'm using Strength of Grodan and am still able to hold taunt while doing exceptional damage.
It's just funny how many, seeing a 2-hander, immediately assumes it's paladin/shadowknight only weapon. Funny. As a warrior I use 2-handed weapons quite happily as well, depending on the group setup. Every weapon has it's use, at it's time. And I haven't had any problems keeping the aggro even with 2H weapons, for almost 48 levels now heh..
That's generally. From the stats of this weapon though (WIS and INT mainly) it wouldn't hurt Paladins or SK's to have it indeed.

You may think 3 more base weapon damage on a weapon is insignifigant, but its not at all. As my warrior with a 2hander 3 points can mean up to 15 more points of damage, if not more. And this adds up quickly in a longer fight

shift scholar,... that meens that when fightin akeva the weapon has a 1:1 ratio, im not aware of any other weapon at this time that is that uber, but unless its a stabber, i prolly wouldnt know about other melee uberness
1 to 1 ratios stopped being uber in Kunark, hehe... as far as I know, the best ratio to date on a 2hs is the 50/39 (or thereabouts) from Tunare... Paly/SK only. Considering te supposed difficulty of this mob, this weapon is utter crap loot.

Wrong... You obviously missed the magic DMG +2!! That makes this weapon 43/44 unless the mob is magic resistant and 46/44 against akheva mobs that aren't magic resistant. This weapon is only 41/44 against mobs that are 100% MR and not Akheva.
46/44 if fighting akhevian mobs and they fail MR.

The Valuk guy from ToV dropped the Palladius Axe of Slaughter which was like 42/41 and i have heard that was after a nerf. No matter now tho as the mob seems to have been relocated or something

I Want. Plain and simple. This would be an insane weapon to have. almost a 1 for 1 ratio and some good stats and saves
41 44 weapon with stat bonuses is a nice sword. Tov has some better ratios, but we are talking about this weapon.
Yard trash is akheva has alot of HP. 2 person teams can clear them, but takes a while each kill. More damage is always better. Most mobs are not 100% MR. If they were slows and nonlure nukes etc would never stick. Akheva mobs are no exception. In my experience their MR is LOWER than most other mobs their level. Untashed I think I had one MoK resist in 50+ mobs. That is insanely good for mobs over 45.
Wars do use 2hs. Twisted steel ******* swords, axe of slaughter etc. Granted this isn;t as good as them, but is still decent. Seen wars in exp groups whip out argent protectors every now and again just to have fun. Some use that big axe looking thing as a normal weapon in the mid to high 50's. I see many pallies and sk use 1hs and 1hp too, so saying they only use 2hs is not always the case.

Because my friend Shyft They have many many hps so the damage does in fact add up :) and as for the magic damage /shrug maybe they would resist it, but what if they dont...
I'd love to work on 2hs with one of these babies.
So how does the damage bonus on a weapon like this work? it already has modified damage with ahkeva, and a bonus magic damage, but can't the weilder still get a damage bonus added to the base damage that isn't special modifier?
