1% hide is a joke of course..unles you intend to carry this 12lbs thing around just to HIDE...
SO either, someone was planning to give this to a lev 30 mob, or its intended as vendors trash - 5-10pp....best I can imagine seling this to a newbee is 25pp max

FYI, Halfling Paladins have innate hide skill capped at 50. Not sure if the skill mods on equipment affect innate skills though.

Shadow Knights do get hide skill, altho 1% won't help very much...

Rangers get hide also, though it max'es at 75. I do not think anyone would consider lugging this around for the whopping 1% bonus.

It's a great looking sword, but it's basically the standard 2HS graphic for Luclin swords, my Vah Shir Warrior alt has a Validus Custodus 2HS, it looks exactly the same.
Not that I'm complaining though, I'd rather have Validus Custodus over a Fine Steel any day (stat's are nearly similar) just for the look.
As for this sword, ya stats are quite lame, nearly similar to Validus Custodus 2HS (Dmg 12, Dly 43, Wgt 10.0, no other stats)

Heh, after looking at this sword and reading the other posts I would have to agree. I'm thinking that this is the fine steel drop for this zone/mob??? How much does a town merchant buy this for, lol.

This sword, for the zone that it drops in, is so bad that I almost wonder if it is a mistake. Like maybe it should be 28 dmg instead of 14. I don't usually post and say that this and that item sucks and so forth, but this really does suck.
I know Verant has said that some Luclin items were going to be "situational" items. I am happy with that line of thought. But I'll be damned if I am going to carry around a 10 stone sword for a 1% bonus to my hide skill.
So, with the situational idea thrown out, I have to assume that someone either flubbed on the stats for this sword or it is just meant as eye candy...like the Charred weapons that drop in Shadeweavers.

This very nice look can also be had from a Darkedged Two Hander which drops off a frenzied shadow in Twilight Sea. Just wanted to mention this in case someone wants this graphic in a sword you might actually use.
This sword is a really cool looking weapon. But consider the zone and level range of the mob it drops from. When I got this we where killing dark assasins which at 51 where blood red to me and hit upwards of 150-200. This is a very very underpowered drop for the level. Just my thoughts on the subject, I could be wrong

I couldn't agree more. you would think that a zone that you need to be lvl 50 to even survive in would have better drops than this crap. I'd expect to see these stats drop in like splitpaw or something
