Saw this auction on Stormhammer. "WTS cape of swirling imagery 3k obo." So I offered him 2.3k . The seller said NO its 3k obo. So i asked him if he had gotten a better offer already since he was asking for 3k OBO. He tells me that obo means that he actually wants 3.5k or more for the cloak. I had to laugh. For those of you who don't know OBO means Or Best Offer. meaning you would like to get your asking price but that you are willing to take less than asking price. Geez wonder how this guy go to lvl 60 without knowing what obo means.
It can actually go either way. I have seen it both ways when buying stuff in PoK/Bazaar from high level people. Though I am not ruling out EBay yet, I would say it just depends on the person, since it isn't set in stone. Yet.
Can it go either way? Sure, but to say 3k [OR] is very misleading. If I /tell DEAL and then get reply that he/she had other tells and to make an offer I would forget it. To me 3k is what I will pay that is why it caught my eye in the first place. In all other areas in trade/sale OBO means if I don't get what I want I'll take the highest offered. So take it as you will. Personally if I was selling and got a /tell DEAL I would /tell Where ya at? followed by /tell omw. It isn't an auction it is a sale, stand by your price it is only considerate.
I think what he ment was, the best offer given to him if one or more people give offers. So, if 3 people all wanted it, he would wait till he sees who gives the best offer first before selling it to the first person who says 3k.
I'd not say no to something this good. I'd place it in the 1-2Kpp range, for chanters.
The problem with this cloak is, it's distribution of skills, etc. is meager except in Mana, so this probably will be less than what I would pay for it.
This cloak dropped off of Possessor Goop for us two nights ago. And no, I am not getting Possessor Goop confused with Possessor Gooplart. The latter dropped the Eternal Robes, which is both No Drop, and a pretty crummy piece of loot for this place.
I bought one of these the other day in EC. I paid 800pp to a lvl 60 chanter on the Namelesss. I knew I was getting a steal when I asked how much she wanted for it.

AFAIK, an increase to Abjuration will not improve the rate at which Abjuration spells are resisted. It will however improve the spells' fizzle rates. So the wearer will experience the same resists he/she always has.
I'm a Wizard. Our Abjuration line is almost entirely self buffs with the exception of Spellshield, O'Kiels, and the Cancel Magic series. Every once in a while, Shield of the Magi will give me a string of fizzles. Chances are an item like this would reduce the likelyhood of this occuring.
Less Fizzles = Mana Saved Mana Saved = More Damage done via DD.
This is correct and also another reason to let this to your chanter in group. It not only has INT and CHA, the main stats of this brilliant class, it also helps getting their buffs work better, and chanters buff a lot (breeze line, wis/int, speed).
Thanks for the vote of confidence about chanters, but our clarity buffs are mostly alteration. I have this cloak and I love it. Sells for about 2.5k/ Enchanters are the best!
