This has the same % to percussion as the drum of the jharin recruit, so if you're a Vah Shir bard don't be dumb and go all the way to KC to buy this drum and waste 20-ish pp (like I did); just do your newbie quest and you'll get an equivalent drum with a little bit of stats sprinkled on top.
I can't measure the difference on selo's, but do notice a increase over standard drum. What is measurable now is the DOT songs. Mine went from 21 to 42 per tic, sing vs this drum.
With the Hand drum ( normal one ) that lvl 9 bard song add me 20 to resist and with this drum that add me 23 to resist. FOr 18pp its worth it but thats a pain to get in KATTA buy Urself. I got killed 3 time time and that took more around 3 hour to get there with POp.
But after I have realize something. GEt a wizzy ask him for a port to Twilight sea. There ask him to use the spell that port the group to a safe point. that is right in front of katta zone, enter in katta and ask him again for the Safe zone sapel and U will be realy cloze to the Bard spell and instrument seller. after U bought what U need just ask him for a port anywhere U want
I tested it with chant of battle and noted it was 15%. However! i tested it with selo's quite a few times (ran from one side of katta to the other in a straight line) and it came out the same as a hand drum.
so it's definetly different for each song. (unless i wasn't running long enough)
17p and change to my bard with good cha and faction (105cha and faction song to get to amiable) now anyone have an idea on the increase over a normal drum or for that matter the increase of any of the combine instruments? I guess I'll test it some time and see...
