I had my monk parked at the chancellor spot for 2 weeks and would log into him before playing my other chars. I must have killed the chancellor 50 times it never dropped. I gave up with that approach and decided to start going after the legos and chancellor en masse. I cleared the fort over 10 times but eventually a lego dropped the bracer of the hidden for me. This can be a frustrating camp. I must have seen over 100 defiant bracers that dropped in the meantime. I had to double take to make sure the bracer of the hidden actually was the drop when it dropped.
ok, after about a week of killing everything in the sarnak fortress this finally dropped off a sarnak lego. also picked up the 1hs, 2 axes, several hand woven shoulderpads, various gems, farsight crystal, iron bound tome, the bizarre 2hb with no stats... and some other vendor junk.
i didn't get an exact count, but i'd say i probably killed about 200 legionnaires before the bracer finally dropped. the only mobs i didn't touch were the chancellor and the imperial escort room with the weaponmaster?
don't give up! it'll drop - it just takes forever. ultra-rare.
Was powerlevelling my Beastlord at Sarnak Fort on 31/12/05 when it dropped. No idea which mob dropped it since there was about 20 corpses on the ground at the time.
Was waiting on Chancellor to pop for Prod...and just wiping throne room...dropped Bracer in about 30 min...was lucky, only the 2nd one I've seen drop in quite some time.
Was funny actually, was talking to a guildie about trying to get it, and dropped on that kill.
I realize this is a rare drop, but I have spent the last 16 hours wiping this entire zone repeatedly. I'd say I killed well over 200 legionnaires without a single one of these dropping (Probably closer to 300). For those of you who got one in just one trip, consider yourself lucky. I'm giving up for now, maybe when I'm bored I'll come back again. Unless the item has been removed and no longer drops...either that or the person who says the drop rate is .2% was not lieing, which would mean it only drops 1 time out of every 500...which would prolly take close to a day and a half of solid farming to gaurantee yourself a drop 8^P. While I'm all for farming something you really want, this just seems a bit ridiculous.
there's only one type of legionnaire in the zone. I stayed inside the fort near the main throne room. Cleared that room, and went around the wide hall leading to it, killing everything.
just wanted to pick up this piece. Yes you can target other players and give the the effect.
was slaying evrything inside the fort to get more of these to drop (Im a 56th troubadour) when I had 1 of these pop up on trak......but leading out thru the backdoor.
this happened about 2 or 3 times until a guildie joined me last nite (56th ranga) and SHE came across the same thing. when she tried to follow it it lead out of the fort.
now, my question is this: does the bracer drop off of a lego that pops OUTSIDE near FM zone??

I was so excited- I was gaining faction with the local lizards then all the sudden I see this bracer on the mob - OMG COULD IT BE?! - YES! it was the bracer! I was very happy and I spent the whole day spamming my friends with it at the kael raid 8).

people use instant cast items for 'crap' buffs before an 'epic' sized encounter (e.g. a dragon) that casts AE dispells. Circlet of shadow, Jboots, bracer of the hidden and goblin skull earring are just some items people pay A LOT of cash for, just for this reason. When you get dispelled, it's nice to instant cast 4 or 5 things again to get ready for the next round of AE debuffs. ;)
Actually bro. Circlet of Shadows would NOT be used as a junk buff...its invis, you'll pop out of it if you get hit by an AE and unless you're a cowardly lion, you'll probably engage the mob therefore you won't be invis anymore. Also, jboots isn't considered a "crap" buff because usually you'll have sow anyawys and if you're indoors, you're screwed. hence why guilds who have a 1 instant click item rule for u to join, it usually says other then jboots.
bracer is also good now for AE factioning in guk or MM for those who dont have buffs (war, rog, mnk, etc) and arent pulling the train to the AEer i used it to leech off other people AE trains for faction in MM

This still drops as of today. I am a 53 Ranger as of this moment, and the total time spent camping the Legos in the fort was perhaps 5 hours. A rough estimate of how many Legos I killed is maybe... 50? Might be more, one every 6 minutes sounds too long.
As far as the farming method goes, all I did was slaughter everything I saw, always keeping an eye on tracking, and made a beeline for any Legos that popped and took em down immedeately. To keep things interesting I'd put on all my damage shield spells that'd stack for a total of a 20hp damage shield, and aggro all the greenies in the Throne room. Hit points would fall to about 75% by the time it was clear, but there're a lot of mobs.
Legos spawn in the throne room as well as in the hallways. I had one spawn outside near an entrance.
Is there a difference between killing everything vs just killing Legos? I don't know. I can't say I ever saw one despawn either. A full fortress generally has 2-3 Legos.
You got a good thing going on trying to get one of those bracers. The reason you kill everything when you are waiting on an item to drop is some spawns are random like %50 chance of X spawning 40% chance of Y and 10% chance of Z. Nobody usually know what spawns these are or cares to learn so they kill everything on the off chance they get one or two more Z to spawn. Also helps to keep you busy while camping an area.
I got one of these from a roll in a group of lowbies in the sarnak fortress and I am tryin to sell it rite now on another 'puter and I want to know why people are willing to pay that much for it

nice spamming item, and really useful if you hate digging into your spellbook trying to look for see invis. this always helps when you need to go invis in a kos city or anything with someone and you want to do it quick and fast. fun to annoy people with though LOL
got one of these while camping the chancellor for howling stones key quest, used it for junk buff for a while then accidentaly sold it to a vendor while cleaning out my bank
didnt think much about it until i started hunting vampires in tenebrous, sure wish i had it now
went to bazaar to see if there was one for sale and saw 6 ranging from 3000-6000pp!... ack im an idiot!
especially if you fight in Velks where the spiders invis themselves shortly after spawning and you don't wear a see invis item. It's also useful for mobs that will dispel (kobolds in pit and uppers in Velks)... I'd hate to see that aego get dispelled. Paid 2k on Nameless but I've seen it go for 4-6k.
Lenny and I were just fooling around in the Sarnak fortress a few minutes ago (8/24/02). We'd killed maybe less than 40 sarnaks all together, maybe as few as 30. It seemed sorta useless to me at the time, but now I'm glad we picked it up. Maybe we'll hang on to the thing.
I have seen these in bazaar ranging in price from 3k to 12k. I remember this selling for around 1.5k or less before bazaar came. I think the lag in the zone mixed with the jumpy motion has made people insane. I love it.
Oh and I do know the true uses for this item. Crap buffs for dragon raids (or other raids where dispel magic is issue), and I leanred the hard way while in the Lake Rathe arena with those sneaky rogues (damn invis makes you lose target and they can sneak up and get first strike) Luckily i put back to wall, beat the crap out of rogue finally but i wish i had a SEE INVIS).
"Oh and I do know the true uses for this item. Crap buffs for dragon raids (or other raids where dispel magic is issue" Actually this is used for 1 more reason. It is very useful for rogues when sneak/hiding through a KoS city, you need to be able to see yourself in relation to other npcs/Pcs while hidden. This would be great for pretty much all classes that can use it but if i were camping this place for exp and we had a rogue in group i wouldn't roll.
It still drops, I've got two recently I sold one for 1200pp and went back to the fort, aobut a week later I got another. Sold that one for 800pp. Now way you can get the 1500 for this anymore
Yes, it still drops. I just got one on Tholuxe Paells yesterday while doing a right ledge camp at the fort. Half the group didn't know what it was, the other half was amazed. Won the roll. Another guy in the group offered me a Bracer of Battle for it, heh.
