Came here looking for a price on these, and saw the stats have changed from what the picture lists. The stats are 9ac 7sta 6wis 5hp 5cold, CLR SHM usable, except by Iksar. Very nice shaman item (because of the STA and HP, but still is a nice item for the clerics.) Dropped in Umbral Plains (can't remember which mob.) And any ideas on a price would be nice :)
*cough* Sent in 2 requests to update this, but nothing yet. Any word on when the REAL stats will be shown? Actual stats are 9 ac 7 sta 6 wis 5 hp and 5 cold resist. It is plate and only wearable by Clerics and Shamen.
Ya hopefully they changed the stats on these. Same guy who designed these must have designed the dreamweaver crap too, hopefully they fired him and redid all his stuff =)
After looking through a number of items of surpisingly weak items from high level zones, it occurs to me that these might simply be items that merchants will pay surprisingly high amounts for. Rather like a number of items that drop from Giants in Kunark. In other words: is this designed to be a cash item? Are these things a reasonably frequent drop? Have anyone tried to see how much a merchant will pay for them?
The ac is significantly better on the sol ro cleric quest legs, and they are obtainable, and wearable with all stats intact, by much lower levels. I have never played a shaman, and I am assuming that they might have a harder time getting ac items. Even so, it's not a very good item for a lvl 50 shaman. Weak stats and saves, low ac, and no wis.
A lvl 50 should be able to obtain a set of jarsath, kromrif, nathsar or sebilite scale legs. Also, the last two are tradeable, so could be obtained much lower. I know these are all cleric wearable, and assume at least some of them are shammy wearable as well.
All are shaman wearable, but some of them are med races only i think, can't remember exactly which. Another alternative at 50+ is the gladiator chain leggings from Kael giants, pretty nice wisdom and 17ac, clr dru and shm can wear, as well as a lot of other classes that wouldnt need em as much.
