Got this one 3 days ago.. shortly before i also got Zekhas' Katar from same area. must have been my lucky day. Almost writing 2015,and they still sell for a pretty penny ;)
I am using this and Entwood Mace on my monk at present. I have been looking for upgrades but cant find much better in the mid 50's range.

This still drops from Heratius Grolden, I was camping the tower for the Katar drop and Heratius popped. Camped tower with 65 necro and it wasn't hard for my nec. Good thing about ths is I can use it on my Bst at lvl 10 but the proc doesn't hit till lvl 40 but its still a good weapon for 10-40 and beyond a little

I have killed Xen lots of times and he has yet to drop the Fist's. Today just as I was about to leave Low and Behold Grolden spawned for me and was very nice and gave me the Fist of Iron with out putting up to much of a fight. I spent about a total of 13 hours over a 3 day period to get these bad boys. GL to the rest who try for these.

Grolden is the rarest spawn of them all, i have killed xen about 5 times and no fist yet.. im begining to think its extremely rare off him and common of grolden,, but grolden is a rare spawn so looks like im ****** both ways =/
I've killed Grolden twice with my 65 necro. Once he dropped the fist. Once he dropped the helm of the vapiric traitor. I've killed all the names about fourty times and have never seen the katar drop. I had to buy it in the bazaar for my alt. The name on the second floor drops the gloves of the dambed 8 int a pretty often for me. The rest like to drop blood weave armor for the most part.

One just dropped off named on top floor. Had quite a few hp, i don't think 60k but more like 35-45k hp, didn't hit very hard, lvl 65 mage here soloed, had virt, kei, self buffs and have 80 aa with pet loh, he went down easy to dpoc focused air pet.

I Got this from rare spawn at top not Valdanov but his buddie hearaldus grolden somehting like that soloed him bout 60k HP on him. Never seen it drop from anything else and I have camped the place a lot.

Just got one of these on povar, was camping Vampire Castle with my 62 cleric friend, I was a 65. sk.. We were camping these for my monk and I got both The Fist of Iron AND the Zekhas katar in a matter of 3 hours, my friend also got the fist of iron.. I think this is a good combo for my 45 human monk..My monks profile

Hello all...I always appreciate the great information that these posts give. I was hoping someone would be able to tell me when this weapon procs. I just got one for my Ogre Beastlord and am VERY happy with it. I'd just like to know when I can expect to see this star to proc? Thanks for any help.

this weapons has beem proc'ing on my bst since lvl 42, was givin to me by guild mates. Seen it selling for about 4500 plat on Fennin Ro server

was the listed price in Baz for 3 days straight. The lowest one would haggle to was 21K. I dont know if they sold or not, but I have not seen another listed since PoP came out.

everything is more expensive on bristlebane, i hate it...bazaar doesnt help much either. pre-bazaar i saw fungi's goin for 35k in EC..now with bazaar, people will park their guy with a fungi for 65k, because they dont have to worry about /auctioning anything. yeah its good for the more common drops because you can pick the lowest price...the really rare ones have stayed the same/gone up since bazaar
Fungi went up because drop rate was nerfed, not because of bazaar.

It was nerfed, used to drop 80%, now it drops 30% if im correct
I can assure you it was no where near 80 percent drop rate before, cant say if it was nerfed or not though

I believe this guy is on a random timer...I was there a few weeks back and he spawned twice in about 8 hours for us. Both times he dropped the Fist of Iron.
All in all we have killed this guy 4 times...twice he dropped the Fist of Iron and twice the Helm of the Vampyric Traitor
There are two named that spawn on the top level. One on the inside (same spawn rate as named on lower levels) and then this guy outside on the balcony. There is not a PH for Heratius (The high level vamp that drops the Fist of Iron and the Helm of the Vampyric Traitor)

The other piece of news about this guy is that he is KoS to some or all of the other vamps in the castle... so if the place is not being cleared the guy will pop and die shortly thereafter.
I have hung out in this vamp castle quite a bit and everything was fine with a mix and match group until this guy popped.... he is tough. resisted slow, killed the shaman and then the chanter and everything went bad from there...
Can anyone confirm or disprove that he can be damaged ONLY BY VAMP BANE Damage?? I read that somewhere... and am not certain it is true... I think I was hitting him fine as a (then 52) monk.

there doesnt sem to be a ph he sopawns up on the balcony when we killed him he dropped the fist *go ahead and drool now lol anyways he dropped some weird vampyre ashes also not sure where there for prolly for an unsolved quest
But he has no ph just a random spawn and a rare spawn at that ud have better luck campin the ac in oot then seein this guy and getting lucky enough to get the fist :)

Anyone have the name of the PH for this mob? I camped there for a long time and never saw this guy??
