I snagged this for my rogue at level 48 and it procs A LOT. It does get resisted a lot too, but when you are proccing every 10~20 seconds, this is not much of an issue.
I didn't notice any aggro increases with the proc, so it is probably safe for rogues. The proc itself has the effect of reducing the mob's AC then giving that AC to you. It lasts for a few minutes (4~6).
The only bad thing about this dagger is that, when wielded, it looks like you are holding a hat pin in your hands. The mobs see this and visibly laugh out loud, which doesn't help when you attempt to Intimidate them.

Same say this is not a good rogue weapon because of the proc, I use it in my main hand and notice no great increase in getting aggro, even if I chain proc. Now mind you I do evade every time I hit backstab to help control my aggro issues.
I got one of these recently. I am actually quite impressed with it. The damage/delay ratio is good and the proc is a nice utility buff.
However, I am very dissappointed in the appearance. With as hard as the Servitor is to take out it is a shame that this nice dagger looks like a fine steel dagger. VI could have at least givin it the look of any of the other Luclin daggers such as Shadowheart or The Flaming Dirk. Either of those 2 dagger graphics would have been much better than they lame fine steel look.
VI missed the boat on this one.

Har har! Ye best not be complainin bout the looks of this poker in relation to the difuculty of the mob it drops off. Servitor is naught but a sissy in a big robe. 4 or 5 people can take him out with ease, and the drop rate of the dagger is super high. But ye're also comparing it to 2 daggers that also drop off a 1 groupable mob, so i guess ye have somewhat of a point. Ye best remember one thing, young rogue: it ain't yer looks that'll leave yer enemy drowning in a pool of their own blood, it's the strenght of yer steel! So ye best stop lookin in the mirror and sharpen yer blades, or else ye'll find yerself in a bed of cold dirt.

does anyone think it is possible for like a 35 rogue to sneak in this zone and loot one since it is no drop? I mean i know if it drops people will want it but if the group that kills this guy just lets it rott do you think a rogue could sneak in here and loot it. i mean i would kill to have one at my lvl.

The problem with that is that Grieg's has many triggered mobs that see invis. You would be dead 1/2 way to him unless you had a group to help out. Even then, Grieg's is set up as a mixed zone. At first you can get by with a single group, but as I understand it, the deeper areas are more tuned for multi-group encounters (many adds, etc). It might even be hard to get to him with a single group, but I've never gone that far, myself.
This weapon is an awesome TAUNTING piece of equipment ... i have and use one of these and when it starts chainproccing i dont need to hit that old taunt button to keep the mob on me. Its nice to have this to swap for the taunting blade of strategy when mobs are immune to fire (SolB stuff). Added to the blade of strategy it gives me 2 weapons with extremely nice taunt-procs for those extra hard moments (havent tried it in the new CT yet but its surely fun).
So, it looks like this item is better for Warriors than Lammy, even with a damage bonus of 11! Given where it drops, and the fact that it's lore/nodrop, I guess that's not suprising, but dang I know what I'll want to upgrade my Lammy to once I hit mid-to-high 50s, and while I'm working on my epic.
Better ratio, good stats, AC-benificial effect. Yeah I could be happy ;-)
Can anyone tell me about how much much the effect on this dagger irritates the mobs? Thanks ahead of time ). -Mindra Skylarker of The Sacred Family, Bertoxx. Always remember, if you can't beat them, laugh at them.
I have had this proc go off 3-4 times in a row and caused little additional aggro even when coupled with a Spear of Eternal Bondage proc. This is on a bard if it tells you anything.

How strange, this is the exact effect of Shadow Vortex (that SKs get at 39 and Nec at 20), but it's called Shadow Creep. It's as if they just copied the spell info.
I did look it up though... both Shadow Creep and Shadow Vortex are listed.
