NO, it doesn't! The bane damage just means that if you throw these at anything but a vampyre, you basically just give them a bump when the flask hits. When tossed at a vamp, they sizzle his flesh off. Or in more mechanical terms, it makes this a 12 damage, rather than 1 damage, thrown weapon.
I did not need these so I put them up on my trader, cheap. Since I had no sales after a couple months I decided to see if I could get tribute points out of them. Received 6 pts per. Decent for a free item that does not have any resale value.
Think of this as holy water. When you throw it the bane damage will work but only againts vampyrs wich will make it 12/18 to them but 1/18 to everything else. Bane damage gives extra damage to a cetain type of mob. In this case, vampyers. You can throw this at any kind of mob but won't do much damage. Hope this clears up things.
I have done a number of quests in Katta and have to say I am very impressed so far. Good thing I did the LoEE quest back the second week after Luclin opened.
I have one small question.
The Bane damage vs vampyre. Does this only include the Coterie vampyres on Luclin? Just curious because any others I have run into on Norrath proper are spelled vampire I do believe.
I know that "some blessed water" is needed for the paladin twilight bracer quest. It doesnt seem like this may be it if the name needs to fit the item exactly.
Give them to your rogues, but only if you're hunting in Tenebrous. They do 12 damage on Vamps, which is pretty damn awesome when you consider that the delay is only 18. I've seen rogues get deadly strikes with these for 48 damage. Range is short, but if you're fear kiting, these kick ***.
Drienne i REALLY have to /agree with you on this i REALLY hope we see more of this kinda stuff its RP value is immense i hope it looks like water flying through the air =)
