This is was the only peice of armor my guild saw in about 4 hours of killing. There was a rogue and ranger with a Tae Ew Tunic already and my bard had a Shissar BP so it went to a 55 ranger. Guess its not bad, he was pretty excited. Nice stats. Wouldn't wanna wear this if you were in a situation where you'd take a lot of hits, especially since the classes that can wear are meant to avoid aggro usually. The STR and DEX I think would be good for rogues' backstabbing.

I know this is a silly Question... Since this is No Drop and somewhat restricted by class (only 3). Is there a chance that some of this stuff rots? I mean, i've been looking to upgrade my Lambent BP and Legs for some time now and this stuff would be, well Awesome. I know similar No drop items rot alot (i.e. Strength of Grodan). If none of the Mobs See invis, any of the Three classes could just sit at the zone and wait for something to wait un-looted. Worth a Try at least =)
Rotting Dark Armor items Having been in Umbral for almost a week now, I FINALLY got this chestplate. The boots and the bracer seem to drop the most and even though the BP dropped twice, I lost the roll on the first one. The second one a few days later I finally got by default.
Just an FYI, expect a few deaths (getting through ME) and a few Long hours/days waiting for a group that doesn't need any of the Dark Assasian pieces for themselves before getting to loot a "rot".
But, after 7 days of off and on camping, I finally got the Chest piece tonight. =) yeah!
Well hon this mob does not often drop armour to start with. This, coupled with the fact that you need a decent group of post 55ish to pull these consistantly and kill efficiently, you would be waiting for quiete sometime. It is true that some of this armour rots, but it is generally the bracer. (Even the common CC bracer is much better than this one)
The mobs do see invis, and are generally pulled to the foyer area next to the ME zone to be killed. You could more than likly sit there for quite a while before an item dropped.
as a party of about 6 - 12 we take on umbral a lil bit here and there and it would seem to me that this zone has alot of good drops however it does take some time for those drops to happen.. but on the lighter side i do know a chanter friend who was in the zone when a 14sta 14int 40m robe dropped and no one claimed .. the group shouted the loc of the item and he dashed over and grabbed it.. happy him.. but very lucky as well ..
Could work, but most of this stuff is pretty rare. And becuase you don't have to be "that" uber a lot of raids would still have a char that may have interest.

Roughly 55+,at 55 there are some Blue Mobs but they hit like Mack Trucks. The zone is no longer easily campable by a single Group unless you dont go passed the Zone In.
As a Druid (56th level), I soloed over a week here -- Elysian Remains only (they don't summon) and joined in a few groups in their 50's for occasional runs on stuff (radir a couple times -- 2 groups mid to late 50's).
Low 50's run big risks here but, I supose 2 groups, could hunt here fairly well near zone.
True, it can be done with 50 to 55 if it's a good group. And as far as I know, all assasins are only 55, Ive never conned one higher or lower - oh, and they are unmezzable.
Actually, its more yellowish/gold in tint. It closely resembles midlevel Cleric armor. On my Bard, it looks very nice since I have a series of Yellow-gold armor followed by blue lambant then yellow-gold armor and green. Very colorfull and I'm looking for the final "legs" to complete my set.

I got legs boots and 2 bracers off these guys for my 31 rogue. He can wear just neg AC til he reaches 50. If any of you would wanna be tricky and camp your twinks at zone(like I did) and get em nice gear that most high ends would let rot then go for it=) I did and it payed off nicely.
i would have to agree, i MUCH prefer teh 26 AC, +13 str/dex/agi... HOWEVER, if it LOOKS cool, certainly worth nabbing it, and it is a NICE alternative for peeps that don't wanna shell out the plat for a hate raid... Delios Shadowsoul Rogue of the 51st dagger and 200 alc tol Officer of mistaken Identity, Drinal
I think this item looks pretty cool, but I recently got the rogue BP from hate.. woven shadow or something like that. It has similar stats, AC 26 13 Str/Agi/Dex. It doesn't have the +15HP and 1 less AC, so I guess this one is a little better? Anyway.. the one I picked up has no recommendation on level.. and you can plane raid at 46 so...
It means that if you're not the recommended the level, you'll have diminished stats by equipping the piece. Once you're the recommended level or higher, the full stats of the item are yours.
what does this baby look like? Ravenscale? there may be better out there, but not a whole lot for most people going into level 50...it's a step up from Ravenscale or a Treeweave. i want one.
Zigana Malache Rogue Sisters of Deceit The Nameless
Items with a recommended level can be looted and equipped by people under the recommended level, but when the item is equipped, it's statistics are reduced. So, equipped by a 10th lvl warrior, this would not have 27AC. The effective AC is placed in () next to the real stat on the item.
Unfortunately, couldn't test it very well, since the only items I can find with recommended levels are No-Drop.
You can TWINK with NO DROP items... simply go to that zone, protected by your higher lvl friends, and LOOT the NO DROP item...
yes, recommended does mean it's not advisable but you can do it anyway... however... Verant isn't exactly grammar champion of the world... so expect this to be un-equippable, like the Club of the Ice Ocean, until you're lvl 50.

Pretty sure you need to be level 46 to enter ToV which prevents super twinking for the most part. I tried to bring my shaman there for some faction hits (lvl 42) and got the message "The Zone is Currently Unavailable...Moving You To A Safe Spot Within Your Zone" - while at the same time my lvl 46+ wiz could get in no problem.
As far as recommended, it could mean that a user under the rec level might not recieve the full benefits of the item (either AC, or stats, or procs on a weapon...etc.)

No, because would not be the definition of recommend
If its recommened that you are at least this height to ride the ride, you can ride the ride anyway.
If you MUST be this height to ride the ride, you can't ride the ride unless you are that height.
If you had to be level 50 to use the item, it would say "needed level 50."
Nothing in the game keeps you from looting it. Even trivial loot code did not work that way, trivial code removed the item if person killing it was too high. A person too high could still loot it from a lower kill corpse though.
This is just verant's way of saying "you are naughty" if you are not 50 and loot this to wear.
No thats not the way verant would think. If they say its "recommended" then that means you have to be that level to wear, maybe even loot who knows. I belife that anyone who would try to wear these items that was under the recommended level it would give a little message saying "You are not of the recommended level to wear/equip this item".

Posted:Dec 26 2001 at 4:13 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Just looked at your Magelo setup. HAHAHA! If you're really level 56 and that's your gear, you must suck. I mean, you're a damn necro, go solo the whole giant fort in Everfrost and get some decent gear. Crystal webshield..../rofl
RE: No, because would not be the definition of recommend
And lets see your setup *** hole? I've solo'd all my life and no grouping, everything I have I have gotten through soloing something so you can shove it. I have had over 200 int since low 40's, I have nearlly 1300 hps self buffed (while not alot its not bad either) and i have decent resists. Yes I could have better but if you would look at my rogue http://www.magelo.com/eq_view_profile.html?num=58643 you will see where i have invested most of my money and you can shut the hell up. Good day.
Well little Johnny Winterstorm... I have to laugh at you... I don't know this necro.. but i looked at his equip.
Until Luclin there was an INT cap at 200.... this necro has 200.
He has some mana gear on... resist gear.. and AC gear to keep himself at 200 INT... yet raise important stats.
I see nothing wrong with this guys stats... while it is very apparent he is not in an uber guild I think his equip is just fine... especially since necros can solo naked. 'nuff said.
If you would like some more equip to poke fun at.. based on no solid facts and without looking at the whole picture... so here are my profiles.
No Drop can't twink with it anyways. Seen this on all No Drop Items posted so far. So it does seem to be a level range to aquire the Item not a means of stopping twinking.

Posted:Dec 21 2001 at 4:16 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) It means you need to be lvl 50 to use the item. It's an attempt to cut down on twinking. Not that you would twink with this stuff cause compared to other items already out there it's not as good, but hey...it's an attempt.
You wouldn't twink a new character with a breatsplate with ac 27, str, sta and dex + 10 and hp +15 because there's better out there? Now I don't need to feel guilty about giving my newbies equipment, because the stuff I pass on is nowhere near as good as this.
