200pp? Yeah right! I just got them off of a "Bargain Merchant" in Shar Vahl for my 21 monk what an upgrade to my Split Paw Hide Gloves! These gloves sure are awesome!
Dropped off the Turtle Wrangler... He has the same faction hits as the Tro Jeg Aliens.
1. He is immune to root. 2. He is immune to snare. 3. He procs a MEAN possible 250pt Fire effect.(PROCS)!! 4. He is VERY immune to fire. (duh hehe see #3). 5. Fairly Magic Resistant. Resisted Fury of Air 3 times hit 3 times. 6. Ice hit for full damage.
I am a 51st druid and he almost killed me... 5 times.... but justice prevailed and his Gloves are now mine :)
He was just chillin by the Scarlet Desert zone near water... Most likely trained there :)
They drop off an alien (little red ones Tro jeg i think)I found him at the camp by the zone to SD oddly enough his name was "turtle wrangler". when he dies he says somthing like "Dam you who will watch my turtles now?" LOL
So far I've got only 3 armor quest items from them (marks and such) but most such things in Luclin have a rare with a drop also.
The great thing about luclin is the "rares" are no where NEAR as rare as say rares in south karana or the like. You kill stuff in luclin you WILL get rares. So far I've been getting rares in scarlet desert, dawnshroud peaks and twilight sea.
It was a dark day in the Western plains of Karana. As I worked my tract of land alongside my homestead, the sweat beaded up on my brow. The air hung limp and listless, stale in the back of my throat; something was not right.
"Paw," came the voice to my side, "you hear that?"
I stared off into the distance, and somewhere beyond the fog of the clipping plane a rumbling began to make itself heard. A strong breeze worked its way through my open house, and tumbleweeds began spawning all around me.
"What is it paw, are the scarecrows coming?" My son beckoned.
"I'm afraid not, son, I'm afraid not." I knew all too well what was coming, and I had to do something about it. "I'm afraid it's much worse."
"What is it, paw?"
I looked down into the eyes of my son who I knew I'd prob'ly never see again and told him solemnly, "Today, son, the turtles have revolted. Go tell Maw to fetch my gloves."
