Seems like the higher your alliance the higher points you get
Doombugs gave 35 to Level 78 Enchanter
I just did the Doombugs and got 70 Faction. level 111 SK
.

After doing all three, Crows, bugs, and scarecrow tasks about 20 times each I got to ind' faction. Which is good enough to get the Embedder.
I worked on the Farm Clean Up and just hit Kindly today. I did not keep track but am listing this to at least give people an idea.
I did about 12 to 15 total to get from Dubious to Apprehensive. I did about the same to get from Apprehensive to Amiable. Again about the same to get from Amiable to Kindly.
I was working on Kindly so I could get my lvl 78 spell.
These missions go really quick. Get the I Can Fly mission while you are there. If there are only one or two in the group working on this then you can complete in a day.

He will sell you this when you are indifferent faction (not apprehensive). It is a container so you have to have a top slot open in order to buy it. It is used to combine a steam core with a piece of equipment. My lvl 80 necro successfully combine a steam core with a glossy silk robe to make a Necrotic Silk Robe. The stats are AC 74; 425 htpts; 450 mana; etc. The steam core embedder is consumed/lost during the combine. Im pretty sure the combine is no fail.

I think you buy this from Automated Vending Unit II in Dragonscale Hills, right by the cannon. You need Apprehensive or Indifferent faction with Ak'anon Strike Force V to buy this item.
You get Ak'anon Strike Force V faction by doing the quests in DH from the gnomes in the tents above the farm, or some of the gnome tasks in FM.
