i would like to buy one i dont have much money considering i am a cleric and we all knoiw how that is but willing to at least pay cost maybe more if not too expensive
Just to warn you the cost to make one of these is well over 3000pp and thats just the materials, not the money required to get you to the 180+ skill necessary to have a chance to succeed...i REALLY think verrant needs to rework this whole thing. coz the only people who can afford to buy one are those who have already gone on raids to get better eq. just my 2cp. Hello, I am a 49th druid on The Seventh Hammer Server. For the past 2 weeks, I have been gathering the components. Enough for 2 tries at this tunic, and 2 tries at imbued elven chain leggings.
I'm currently 3 blue diamonds and 1 esscence of moonlight short of beginning.
I suggest that those of you who want this armor that badly try and gather the components yourselves. It has been a difficult ride, but I have found a level 49 enchanter, and a HIE smith with 215 smithing to help me. I haven't found a brewer yet, but Im sure I will.
I do have one question though, what sized mithril is used to make the rings? "A large mithril brick"? is what i thought I was going to use.
If you've spent that much time and money collecting components, I suggest you master brewing yourself...it shouldn't take more than a couple hours and 100pp or so to get well past the point where the moonlight temper is trivial.
Oh, and the ore you want is the Large Brick of Mithril.
ok, so what exactly is the recipe? anyone who has actually made it, please let me know. do the rings need to be enchanted to imbue, or not? that is my biggest question. any info will be very helpful
i was able to make one of those with my 189 Skill in smithing, guess i was just lucky, cause i heard from someone with 203 skills that he failed 75% of the time.
There are quite a few who are looking for the Veeshan High Elf who can do this. Please post so we can assist in helping you attain the needed skill and components if you are dedicated. Sounds like more than enough customers to keep you busy and eventually wealthy.
you know, as someone who has several trade skills including smithing (176)... and just as a general eq player who has ever sat in ec trying to sell something...
it is VERY inconsiderate, and self centered to put in a vendors head that you will "pay very well" for an EXTREMELY costly item like this when there is NO WAY IN HELL you could ever afford it at 25.
i mean really. i get level 3's who are untwinked asking me how much a full suit of fine plate is and trying to make an offer. get a life n00bs.
Ever seen a druid or wizard in chain armor? Finally THE prime choice for casters who don't like the robe look. Another alternative is the mesh armor from Upper Guk which gives a leather look and is all/all.
All these armor pieces are especially suited for Enchanters that like to become one of the "none-robe" races like Troll for the extra regeneration. Ok, its just in the looks, but it sure is a great way of making your character stand out!

Posted:Jan 06 2001 at 12:43 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) As a Dwarf these stats upset me. This armor is wicked 5 int/wis. Where my dwarven racial is only 4wis. However this is 14 AC compared to the 22 of the imbued dwarven platemail. So, i guess it evens out...
Remember, this is elven-chain....caster wearable. Which makes it a "cloth" class armor...Brellium is plate class armor. And the extra AC is real nice on Brellium to boot. :)
To enchant the Mithril you need 1 Blue Diamond for each block of mithril. So for each tunic you'll need 3 Blue Diamonds.
I don't think the trivial level is known at this time, but it's well over 200. Don't even attempt to make this without a skill over 200 unless you've got an endless supply of blue diamonds.
That's for an enchanted piece. Imbued is the normal elven chain recipe, which does NOT take enchanting the rings, but adds an imbued gem(Tunare's is Emerald,I believe) when you combine the normal ingredients.
Not that it's easy. Some of the temper components are total pains to get.

PS In the interests of "no spoilers",the recipe can be found on eqtraders.com ,for those who wish to pursue this further.
Wouldnt it stand to reason that if its tunare specific, that wood elves and half elves should be able to make it too? Will the Fier'Dal forge work in making this?
