I sell these all the time. On Zek people try and sell them for 80k which i thought was a little too much for it but I sell for around 50k and yes they are tradable I have had up to 12 (i 5 box and have 2 traders that I forgot to put on for a while) and all have been passed off to my traders and sold quite nicely.
You're probably seeing an ATTUNEABLE item that was equipped.
Aye. My friend just GAVE me this & wouldn't tell me how he got it so I came here to check & see where it drops. It IS tradeable before it is attuned, but I can only speak for today, not yesterday or tomorrow... as I could swear my chanter's Robe of Turmoil was changed awhile back in some way resulting in a price increase in baz.
Equipping an item with the ATTUNEABLE flag makes the item undroppable/untradeable. Adding to the confusion, NO DROP was recently renamed NO TRADE, but the functionality is the same.

"Equipped" means to be put in the appropriate slot. (such as it must be worn to use the right click effect) As soon as you put your erring in the ear slot and wore it, it became attuned to you and No Trade to anyone else. When you put an augment in it becomes "augmented".
Even if this sharshooting focus does not stack with eagle eye it is still one hell of an upgrade to the earring of the solstice. Get this in one ear and firecely hooked claw in the other and a ranger has his ear slots filled, well.
Sharpshooting effect does NOT stack with Eagle Eye ranger self buff. Eagle Eye increases chance to hit by 40% with archery. Sharpshooting 1 increases chance to hit with archery by 3% so there is no comparison. Since any ranger worth his salt will always have his Eagle Eye buff on, it makes the effect on this earring basically useless.
Is this a fair assumption based on the Lucy stacking info? Or will the stacking be fixed so it does stack with Eagle Eye. If not, it seems like a useless effect to me.... but what do I know.
I believe that focus effects have their own specially written stacking code which seperates them completely from stacking issues with spells. The best way to accept this as being the case is to search for Regeneration on Lucy. We all know that regeneration I, II, III (etc) from items do stack with eachother, and yet all use slot 2.
So in short: Sharp Shooting DOES stack with Eagle Eye (and all other spells).
Okay, don't flame me, but this dropped off the Foul chick in RCoD at the statue camp. As unbelievable as it is, our ranger already had one, and we opened rolled for it, and I won.
I'm selling it on Terris Thule, send a tell to Farkas sometime. See above for range of asking price. :)
Sharpshooting I is an increase in chance to hit. The Archery +5% mods found on EP bows are 5% increase to the archery skill, not chance to hit. So yes, they stack.
