then business would falter.
Take this secret with you
and only share it with your
most trusted of
apprentices.
| Nostrums do not have the
effectiveness they
advertise. It is simply an
ingredient that helps
reduce pain, with vodka to
help dull the senses and
convince the wearer to feel
better by themselves. Any
other ingredients are
mostly for flavor, though
they seem to have a small
effect on the results.

For example, you can make a
fine Nostrum by using some
shade fungus, and mixing it
in with the quinine, soda
water and vodka. It brings
a nice woodsy flavor to the
drink. If you prefer, you
can use ranthok roots
instead of the fungus to
give it an earthier flavor.
| Quinine is made by
dissolving ground up katuka
bark in red wine. Be
careful to not get too much
on your hands or they may
go numb.
