Well, I hope to get these gloves, who cares about AC when you're fighting a dragon anyway. Damn, don't you see how uber these are? 15 MR! Come on now!
I haven't gotten these yet, but since I'm still camping with a big group (only camped becuz event was ended by some moron in EK and I'm gonna log back in an hour to rejoin the grp) I'll most likely get them. We had 2 bards in the group and the first kill we had dropped the Shining Steel Sword (I got this) and these Gloves (other bard got the gloves) so now we're switching and he'll get the sword and I'll get the gloves.
The mace drops in EK as well as you all know. EK is the place to be, anywhere else is uncivilized.

Why doesnt any bard eq from this quest that I have seen have any ac? Is this verant having some new idea about making bards pure casters or what? =(

First of all, bards are more useful as pure casters. The armor is just there because, like clerics, they can't avoid getting hit.
Also, there is a lot of gear dropping at this event that doesn't have any AC. Even for these like paladins, whos main job is to tank. I don't know what Verant is thinking.

I dunno about you, but this dropped off of Lord Virm in Nro. He's the biggest snake I've ever seen. Nasty. Mean. Vicious. And spawns on unsuspecting newbies who turn in fungus in EK. I had a pair of these on Halloween night, and attempted to submit it first. ;) They look like leather.. and you know what? I'm gonna keep em. 15 MR is nothing to scoff at, AC, stats, or not.

Drops of the 'boss' mobs in the halloween events. The named spector in EK, the Overlord in WC, etc... sucks pretty much considering it takes a group of 45+ to kill the named spec in EK and it doesn't have any AC on it...

I looted this in N Ro not in EK off a low lvl mob. It wasn't a high lvl boss or anything like that.
