This is a decent item, but why do they insist on putting WIS on a pure caster item?
Considering the level/amount of people needed to kill these boss mobs, you would think they would drop something much better than a Velium Sapphire Necklace (8INT/8STR).
That WIS could have easily been 20 more mana to match the 20 hitpoints, or 4 more charisma for the enchanters. But WIS? What use is WIS to a pure caster?

Wisdom is very important to casters for spell research/trade skill. The higher the wisdom the greater the chance of success. Let me give you an example: I was 42 wiz with a 202 int and a wiz of 110. I put some wis gear on to get it about 150. Now my research skill was at 131. I was able to research my Ice Comet spell on the first shot after I was told I had less than a 50% chance at that skill level. By increasing my wisdom I increased the chance of sucess. thats why casters get wisdom mixed with int on some items.
By the same token, Int will increase your skill ablity faster. serious, want to learn a skill faster? up your int and be amazed.

Nah. Wis and Int acts the same way. So the post obe yours is right - why wis on this item? If you don't belive me, ask whoever... cause Verant have stated that int and wis helps skills, but only the higher one counts. You making Ice Comet was just luck.

I got this off the giant snake in Nro.. Tische something or another. He also dropped a nice shammy doll and a 2hand staff that a lvl 3 guy looted and ran off with after a really nice lvl 39 enchanter won roll.

Yes. It dropped only on Halloween night during the GM events. It is no drop and you may never see it again.
what zone did ya see it drop in? the GM events are going on til Sunday and i'd Love to get my hands on one

This dropped from Werewolf Overlord in WC on Haloween evening. He was green to 55, but still gave exp, so I'd guess high 30s/low 40s. The event ended shortly after I killed this guy, but I dont know if that was a coincidence.
