Awesome pally cloak. I traded off my spider fur cloak that my pally was wearing for this. So basically I only lost 1ac, 1sta, and 6cold resist. More than made up for by the 13MR and 13DR. These resists are killer.

I got this last night, found it on a corpse at the event in EK :)
Also got a shield caled 'The Watcher' 5str,3wis,5dis and magic, and a new neck piece 4str 3wis and 5dis and magic.

The items that are dropping are acutally pretty good. This cloak, the gorget, and the helm i got in WC off the Overlord is very good. I haven't seen anyone talk about the helm yet. It called Helm of the Holy Defender or something like that.
Note, if you want this helm you'll make everyone there mad cause killing the overlord ends the event for 3 hours

I(among about 20 other pallies) was lucky enough to recieve this cloak last night. My paladin is lvl 47 BTW and it beats the crap outa anything he can get, next step up is a White Bear Pelt Cloak which ya gotta be 50+ to get, assuming you get lucky. And I'd only wear that in EXP groups, not dragons/raid type mobs. The resists on this are insane, and the stats are decent. Much better than my Lizzy cloak, hehe. These were common drops off the named Drag. skelly in Rathe, named The Blood Reaver, had a 500pt AoE dispell effect and had a rather weak fear, yellow to me. He spawned about every 10min so the cloaks were common drops, probably the best pally item all night though. Well I'm happy and this cloak is by no means sub-par to anything around the level needed to get it, chances are I'll use it for the rest of my EQ life(on raids). Very nice and Gratz Verant, and Lady Daegarmo(WB)

Sure it's 1AC less and 10 Wis less than my current cloak... but the Str, Sta and 9 stones less wt (Not to mention the saves) more than make up for that.

I played from Friday through to Monday over the last weekend, didn't hear **** about gm events ANYWHERE.. Just bitter cuz I expect to get some kool **** at some point, but, fuq, guess not huh Owell this stuff pretty much sux anyways 9ac?! ooo boy, theres a gm unique item I could do without...christ

I'm just as guilty as anyone else, but we ALL have to remember that not every single gosh-darned new item that people find in EQ isn't going to be a jaw-dropping, drool-worthy uber item. Nor is every single new item going to make the previous item inferior in some way. If that were the case, where do you go from there? A 100AC, +250 hp/mana +99 to all stats and saves cloak? I bet that wouldn't suit most of you in the future either.
I don't think this "Griffen Feathered Cloak" is all that amazing either, but for the casual player/mid-range level Paladin, I'm sure this cloak is very nice and I'm also sure that during this event, at least ONE paladin out there was thrilled to death to receive this. All you have to do is put things into perspective and maybe your posts won't sound so volatile/harsh/vulgar.

For a PvP environment on the Zeks this cape is awesome. 13mr is nothing to laugh at. Being a dark elf mage, if I could get an item this easily with 13mr i would just at the chance. Even sacrificing int. Lots of int for that matter, int items are cheap. This will help a lot against caster mobs even in a PvE environment, but really shines in PvP. Glad Verant put in a nice item that really shines in PvP.

Ive been reading the texts of several of the items dropped last night (i saw alot of bard stuff) and how "crappy" or "lame" it was to all you 40th lvl people and beyond. I just want to say i hope you get @$$ cancer and die.
I have a 30th level paladin who wears a banded cape for back armor. so to me this item doesnt suck. it doesnt suck to the hundreds of people you losers i mean ubers KS last night to loot these things most of which you couldnt even use. Why dont you go back to farming and let some of the people who play EQ for fun have fun?
