Yes, Drinal has a bunch of crybabies, but I'm glad to hear that a noble character won the Bulwark.

I love GM events, but I hate when so many people try to ruin it just for the sake of ruining it.

I guess it's sometimes out of frustration, since our GM's are usually not too creative with events...

Well, I was lucky enough to be chosen from the many excellent role players on Xev, as the recipient of this excellent item, what was funny was the next 15 minutes of tell bombing, 90% of which were hearty pats on the back and congratulatory messages, the event itself was short, only made long by the 70 odd people who queued up to receive a smudge stick in the vain hope of being picked.

Well to say I was shaking when I looked in my backpack to see this was an understatement..

Anyways you'll see what it looks like on a Half-Elven Druidess at http://www.boxes.demon.co.uk/images/orolmy_bp.jpg

Nice item

I received this on MT and I'm not in TW, divinator :P. Just have some friends in that. Very nice item with hp/mana regeneration. I never really had to worry about hp/mana regeneration since I'm a mage, so I don't really know how to "clock" it well. I am jumpin' for joy I got this because I, as a mage, had no mana regeneration before. I can finally do some decent soloin' (FYI..it does stack with my phantom armor..so when I sit down I regenerate 18hp/tick from what I can tell..it may be more, though)
Roleplaying

My 14th lvl Half Elf Paladin recieved this item on Monday. Here's my thought and response to that other persons statement of what good is Roleplaying. Well the obvious thing that comes to mind is the fact that . . . . good RPing got my character a nice BP that he'll use for a good long time. Also if you want to see a log of what happened for my character goto www.angelfire.com/realm/mton/GMEventLog.doc

I recieved this item yesterday....I LOVE IT. the quest was fun and I believe I recieved it cause I helped 2 others find empty braizers with my track skill. I RP a bit but was not anoying. OH and BTW this lil druid name Yout almost started crying to the GM/NPC Because I put the carcoal stuff I reciever from the GM into the braizer he filled...kinda pisssed me off . But all and all was great and the regen ROCKS

effect
# Oct 17 2001 at 12:31 AM Rating: Decent
Once again, the effect on this item is not clickable, it is a permanent effect, much like a Fungi tunic. As long as you are wearing it, the effect is working on you.
A lvl 8 got it on my server
# Oct 16 2001 at 11:20 PM Rating: Decent
This event took place today, I got a ring, and my friend, a lvl 8 Druid, was roleplaying very well in fron of the GM. He got the BP, and on my server (Sullon Zek), the evils were very mad. They nuked the heck out of him and CC'd him for a while. But still, this is one great piece of armor

#Anonymous, Posted: Oct 17 2001 at 12:58 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) I'd be mad too -- that's a phulken travesty to see this go to a level 8 character.

props to Maxem on the armor. I'd wear that armor if it had no stats or ac. Has to be the coolest looking armor iv ever seen.

Hrmm Well let see, online roleplay game. not online stat game. althogh roleplay is hard to enourage in the games setup it comes from the the players. that is the only place it can come from. if you want to play a game only about stats go play Diablo
heh heh
# Oct 16 2001 at 3:52 PM Rating: Default
what does roleplaying do?
RE: heh heh
# Oct 28 2002 at 9:56 PM Rating: Decent
Roleplaying makes you anonymous and it still shows what guild you are in. It is also made for be people that like to play their role so its roleplaying, like talk like npc's would and like a dorf would always mention Brell's blessing or something like that hehe
#REDACTED, Posted: Oct 16 2001 at 3:29 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) You think a lvl 6 is going to get this because he roleplayed well? I don't care what you say, mainly because I don't value the opinion of *someone* with -2- posts and -no- confirmable background whatsoever (EQCaster, by the way, is an excellent SP.DAT reader. However, I was -not- responding as to whether or not it was clickable. Many items with an otherwise limited duration [mith 2-hander, iksar BP, harvester] use an otherwise limited spell as their perm. effect). The -point- of my post is the strong bias towards druids being shown here. Yeah, maybe the druid RP'ed well... Probably not, considering the average dr00d's intelligence (I knew one who had never bought harmony, and was well on his way to getting NW...), but that is neither here nor there. The point is that this event, having no combat, was entirely based on the favor of the GM's, who, if we look at the population statistics of various servers (Thank you, eqhackers.com) play mainly druids as their mortal characters (~60%), -and- endow them with gm abilities, might I add (tsk, tsk)
Gratz to Adon
# Oct 16 2001 at 2:45 PM Rating: Decent
A 54 Level High Elf Cleric by the name of Adon on the Zeb server was the recipient of this BP.

Ya I was involved in the GM event on Brell. was alot of fun. Was playing a lvl 23 war alt of mine at the time. Bunch of us got rings with a charge of greater healing for helping out with the quest. Not to bad. I can say that whoever gets this BP on each server has got to be very happy indeed. I know i would. I dont think this is a melee or hybrid only chest item. Who ever got it deserved it. The low wt makes it good for all classes. Grats to anyone who got this wonderfull BP. I can only hope to get as lucky in the next GM event in the future.

The druid in that pic is stunned by this item. His mind is totally boggled. Look at the picture...he's getting ready to fall into a coma. Adds 45 STA and 125 hp? Not to mention the 25 STR and the proc. Everyone on his server needs to find out who that druid's diety is, and petition to change theirs to his.
Honestly, I just hope a rogue somewhere got one - this would be killer on a rogue. Ahem...and a monk - did anyone notice the weight?
#REDACTED, Posted: Oct 16 2001 at 8:11 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Frome what Ive seen so far on different message boards there have been 1 rogue and 1 monk(me) that have recieved this fine toy. Grats to everyone else who got one, its beyond cool right into the realm of godly
TheGrandGuru
# Oct 15 2001 at 11:29 PM Rating: Excellent
Thanks for the congrats guys. I love my new BP.

Just wanted to correct TheGrandGuru on his obvious reading of the spdat.eff file and thinking he knows what this spell does.

This spell IS self only because its NOT a spell. It is an effect just like the Fungus Covered Scale Tunic.
Your comparing of the file data of the cast spell to this effect is like comparing the spell cast by the Fungus Covered Great Staff to the effect of the Fungus Tunic. The spell and the effect have the same name, yet they do two entirely different things.
The effect on this Breast Plate is a permanent effect that effects the person wearing it as long as they have it equipped. It is not a spell you have to click on to make the item proc its effect on you. Therefore the duration and ticks you are pulling from the spdat.eff file do not apply.
Monks =P
# Oct 15 2001 at 11:07 PM Rating: Default
Hehe... would be SOOO funny to see a monk wearing this; can you imagine a monk in a dark and light blue breastplate? (No I'm sot saying anything about "who should get this")

Any melee would benefit from this... would be funny to see it on a necro too, as necros are kinda antithetical to The Prime Healer.
wow.. very nice

congrats to all those who earned one! i am jealous as hell :) again, nice job.

Gm Events
# Oct 15 2001 at 10:02 PM Rating: Decent
I love Gm events.... Knowing I'll never see or participate in one.... And in the miniscule chance I do, will most likely be slaughtered by some 50+ mob being controlled by a gm....

Sounds like fun eh?

Have faith Tienshihan...I too never thought I would be a part of a GM event. The day after the zones for the Halloween events went back to normal I was headed to meet a guildmate in EC when she said a gnome asked her a riddle. She told us the riddle in guild chat and someone figured it out.She told the gnome and he gave her an Orb of Infinite Void(ac35 some int and wis mana and hps I think)I ran over to see if the gnome would notice me.He did! I however answered my riddle incorrectly and....Loading Please Wait!hehe. It was worth it however just to get a shot at some cool gear.

When I got my Malevolence club I was most happy. Cool thing about getting it was I was only level 16 at the time.

Quest involved retrieving the corpse of Lanys T'Vyl from her followers of the Primordal Malace. They are the new guys in Befallen. Was a lot of fun. I got to pretend I was Lanys's secret love. I had to swindle a ring from this Baron guy who had her corpse. It was a lot of fun. Took like 3-4 hours of RPing.

I used to think GM Events (well they are really called Historical Quests because they change the face of Norrath, according to a guide. Best of the Best is an event (Announced stuff), Raids are the little things where odd creatures pop up and start killing people until everyone gangs up on them, and Historical Quests have to happen on every server and they usually change Norrath in some way, in this case the healing of the Karana's by the priests of Rodcet Nife) were pretty lame too, until I came across an Historical Quest in Steamfont, was really neat, there was a young dragon killing stuff, then Lord Galendore (at that time a lackey of Mayong Mistmoore, now dead I think) showed up took some "information" from the dragon. Involved the Ring of Scale and other grander events. Was lots of fun to listen too. So I took it upon myself to try and go to these when I hear about em, or I can look up a lot of information on sites like Safehouse. Norrath is a cool story, if you have all the chapters of the book, and believe it or not there are a lot of chapters.

Unfortunatly there's the problem, no one knows the stories, it's all just go get this, go get that. My self and 4 others got to see the slain corpse of Lanys T'Vyl, was really cool and exciting. Lanys is the daughter of Innoruuk who raised an army against her father, but was eventually slain, she used to reside in Najena back in the day when JBoots weren't quested.

QT does a great job of conveying events, (if any of them are listening, keep up the good work) it's just too bad that not everyone will hear about them.

And if you happen to get struck twice by lightning look for NPCs you've never seen before, listen to what they have to say and try not to be to lewt happy. Otherwise, go back to camping in ToV, probably better items in there anyways.

I'm sure they are... Just handing out a bp like this for running around and roleplaying for a bit, which is something I'm almost always doing anyways. Hell, I'll excuse this going to some druids but a lvl 6 char getting this?... What's that I used to hear?...OH yeah *grin* Something about effort and risk vs. reward.

Of the subject a TINY bit for now. They nerf Mryo's dagger *which imho was on par with risk vs. reward* because how many were gotten? 1 or <if you're lucky> 2 per server so far? I mean, seriously, Keeling *yes...not killing, but KEELING* the most-likely second hardest mob in the game. Gratz Being honored by being given THE best piercer in the game Gratz even more Then being slapped with a nerf because you're "too powerful"? um..how about no?

If I come on later, I'll finish my post here. Unfortunately, I need to head off to work though.

For everyone who was actually congratulating and everything... looking for info... whatever, I apologize for the rant.
