The Basics of Tailored Armor
Armor can be best made by making a template and then working that template to get the results you want. The template itself has little use, and often will not even fit properly, but with these templates you will be able to make many
| different useful pieces of armor.
To make these armors you will need to find components through the world. For the leather armor you will need ruined animal pelts, and for cloth armor you will need coarse silk. Collect twice as much silk as the others
|
| because silk comes in such small amounts that more will be needed to make each piece of armor. You will need crude filament to work with silk and leather.
Silk armor templates are made by taking an appropriate amount of silk, curing it with silk curing chemicals and using
| filament to sew it together with a sewing needle. You will need to include the silk pattern for the specific template you wish to make. This pattern will be destroyed in the making of the armor. Leather armor is made in a very similar fashion, but instead of silk curing chemicals you will need
|
| tanning chemicals and of course you will need the appropriate leather template pattern instead of silk.
For wrist and hand pieces, you will need one animal pelt, or two pieces of silk. Boot, helm and arm pieces will need twice that, while leg and chest
| pieces will need three times that of wrist and hand.
