I got this Item today from Al'Kabor, I recieved a coin for the quest then was summoned to Ak'anon where i Turned in the coin... The item was then placed in my Inventory... very nice i might say
I got mine for helping Lanys out in Skyfire a while back. Of course, then they had left iksar off the list of races so it sat in my bank a while. I'm a monk, and I love it to pieces. Having resists is essential if you ever plan to be part of a raiding guild.
Ummmm...I belive this would be a "whoever earned the reward item". Kinda pointless to discuss what class it would be for since you have to get one at a GM event, and it's no drop.

Hey, for gnomes, its great! AC speaks for itself, but strength is something we gnomies need in droves. And resists! For some reason, rogue stuff is always low in resists other than poison and disease! WHY?!?!
Um, yeah. Sure it is a nice item for a Monk, Rogue or Warrior as resistance gear. I wouldn't debate that for a moment. It isn't very special in the AC department though, although the 5 Str never hurts. Sure, +15 to resists makes this a wonderful reward but the piece itself should probably be All/All unless the quest was designed for a melee character.
For the record though, my resists don't seem to be too bad in my combat gear with my Rogue. I'll admit my PR is higher than everything but my MR but I don't see Rogue gear as being singled out for poor resists.
what in the world would a rouge need ac for. Ok so its nice to have but in the upper end of the game resists > ac. Go on a raid and likely you will get hit by melee attacks 0 times. Well if it goes well. However the aoe fear or maybe aoe fire damage will own you if you have "uber" ac.
The way these rewards work is on a "coin" basis. When you're given the Hero Coin by a GMNPC, it's befitting of a group of classes- melee, monk, caster, healers, if I remember right. So when you turn in the clas specfic coin, you get a class specific item. Hardly any of them are all/all.
