okay people if you get the belt simply have augment cast on you fbss haste wont take hold if the augment still works then try quicken if quicken sticks then this is an excellent item to have without spending all that cash on an fbss.seems like a great newbie item depending on haste rating

Actually, that will NOT let you determine the haste on these. Item haste and spell haste stack.

The haste on this item won't be close to that of the FBSS or even the Hangman's noose due to the difficulty of the zone at least in my opinion. Probably be similar to the sporali gloves having haste but about 10%.

Ive never been here, Im still wearing a purity belt at 35 =), and if a 35 can successfully do this quest, Id be more than into it. Would I (35 bard) be able to do this quest?
Heretic Invaders are blue to my 25 Ranger and were not that hard of a fight at 24. They are either SK's without HT or Necro's without pets. Killed a male that looked SK'ish but didn't notice if he HT'd me. Killed a female that looked Necro'ish but had no pet but cast necro spells (fear, lifetap, heat blood).
I'm sure they're trivial to you at 35.

I've been HT'ed by the male SK's a couple of times, but not usually. I'd guess that what happens is that, by the time you track one down, he's already had an aggro encounter with at least one passing mob, and burned up his HT taking it down, so you don't have to deal with it. :) Kind of like Kizdean in WC, if he's used it on someone else lately, it's much easier to take him down.
Oh, and before the patch with the light blue con, they were high green or low blue to me at 35th; now, they've all been light blue so far. (How many times will I have to do this quest before I get a sash instead of headband? :p)

this was a nice and easy to catch lie, this item is to n00bish for freakin better than dragon haste.

Dude, 35-40% is dragon/uber haste. If this item gives that kind of haste at an attainable level of 25, the precious FBSS is worth 100p, and a CoF will sell for about 200p and a stack of batwings.
i hope u werent serious about the percentage.....

maybe I am wrong...but last I recall fbss was 20ish% haste...?
19% reduction in delay or a 21% increase in damage however you want to rate haste. My guess is that they are tryin to get in low lvl haste items (like those gloves of the sporeking) so i'd wager the haste is similar to that (12%ish) but I might be wrong. Testing by the people who have one will soon enough let us know.

This is very nice, for level 25, as it says up top.. If the haste matches FBSS, then it oughtta become quickly obsolete.. Anyone with this item want to guess at the % of haste?

FBSS probably won't become obsolete because of the trivial loot code, it could be sold all over the place but... the mobs in this quest will probably be camped like crazy. It's still pretty damn sweet though, I plan on ganking one for myself :)
The mobs for this quest are very rare. Seems like at least a couple hour spawn. Plus, they wander the zone and you need a tracker or else a lot of luck.
Also, they are blue at 24, probably an 18-20 mob. Sk (male) and necro (female) Erudites.
