Now Etched Iron Helms have the effect Enhancment Haste I. Can't remember what they said it does, but if you want to know check todays(6/6) news story, I belive they have it listed.
This stuff doesnt drop off the shamen, It seems to only drop off the Raging Highland Kobolds, I'm not sure about the regular Highland Kobolds as I've only killed the occasional wanderer.
It makes sense that this doesnt drop off shamen though, since they arent a class listed as being able to wear this, and this is plate, not chain like the bamboo stuff is supposed to be.
You obviously have no idea how much time, money, and effort goes into making player-made plate Fredd. It's almost to the point where it costs as much as Jewelcraft to master, not to mention the endless hours of clicking.
I have a growing concern that we are running rapidly in ever decreasing circles. With the advent of Blackened Alloy, and now Iron Etched armors, there is precious little room for Fine Plate and other player-made items. True Fine Plate can be dyed and so forth, but the only real items of novelty and worth are cultural. (Provided Verant has deemed your culture to have Smithed items... for Erudites we got the ***** of Terrorauntula silks...)
So, where do all these nifty new items leave the tradesmen of Norrath?

Player's can make racial and religious armor that is also garbage d00d. FP armor is crap and the only reason it is even sellable is because there are n00bs out there still.
Most of the prekunark quest melee armor is easier and cheaper to get than crafted FP. Depending on the server a war can by a full suit of crafted for about 1100pp so many smiths dont bother because FP is so expensive.
Its old news that trade skills in EQ suck bud, just give up and go farm like every body else.
That is true Poxxed, the crafted armor quests are doable at like L25 and the armor is significantly better than Fine steel plate. Why people buy fine steel plate is beyond me.
